  1. Looking for a new fish finder, and the boss says not a penny more. What do you recommend Thanks Scott Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. I have always had Lowrance and no problems so far (5 units) so the Motor guide is high on my list. I just see reviews that the MinnKota has a few more functions, as I do fish more that just trolling
  3. A ton of good feed back on this. So now the question is Motor guide w Lowrance or Hmminbird with Minn kota. I have Lowrance now but am willing to switch to a H-bird. From what I can see so far the Min Kota is a bit better. Again welcome the replies Scott still looking at 24 or 36 as well
  4. the 36 volt system is better, I agree however I don't want the 3rd battery in the open some place. That is why I'm leaning 24v.
  5. Going Terranova 24v, 72". I like the way all my batteries are stowed (3) so sticking with the 24v system Sent from my SM-T280 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. You guys gave a lot of positives on this, I’m going to go bow mount, now I just need to decide 24 or 36 and manufacture. Having 24v now with my batteries stowed nice helps, but you know how we all are, bigger is better! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  8. What I have: 19' Lowe deep V aluminum 115 cable steer with 8hp kicker, older electric bow mount, 24V. Looking to get some help on what direction to go. I'm leaning to the bow mount setup. I would believe you lock the 8hp to go straight then use the bow to steer. I'm not sure if you need the main motor to help as a rudder, assuming it would be locked straight with the bow pulling it along. I also like to Garmin TR-1 gold but I do believe a pulling to steer system would be better than a pushing system. So asking for advice on this topic, and if I do go bow mount I would like a unit that I can interface with graph, will be upgrading the graph as well. Looking to stay in the 24V system as this is what I have now and 3 batteries are plenty on 19' thanks Scott
  9. I have a hook 9, no issues at all. For the price and a weekend fisher I think its one of the best you can get. I have had 4 other Lowrance units so it wasn’t too bad to understand. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  22. I had two Willies bait files each one was 5 bays, great for a lot of lures and they kept dry, only downside was the hooks do tangle, sometimes on the springs or each other, not supper bad but it did happen. Now I use Plano boxes that I burn holes (a lot of em) in the top/bottom with soldering iron to allow for air movement, no rusty hooks, no tangles, easy to see whats what
