    we had 3 to 5 ftrs in mexico bay this morning (my favorite salmon chop )....managed 2 kings biggest was 22 lbs and 1 laker.....covered 110-180 fow......all paddle and fly bite today

    I got the helix 7 chirp with gps.....not crazy about it just put a lowrance elite 7 on also probably use the bird for gps only or end up selling it

    okuma magda are best for the money......got 2 ive used for 10 yrs now without issue I have tried the pricier reels ( saltists ) (squalls ) ( tekota's) (coldwatwers) never been impressed by any of them considering the price difference in the past 15 yrs ive had 2 of the okumas that the line counter stopped working...with having 20-25 rods on the boat that's not bad odds

    I run 15# mono backer (400' )....then how ever many colors of core then 50' of 10# mono leader I usually keep 2 each of 1....2.....3....5....and 10 colors on the boat

    lake is accessible.....fishing is getting better each week on east end as for the LOC.....they don't recognize a solo fisherman (woman) so that leaves myself and many others out of it
