  1. I had the good fortune to participate as an observer in all four Pro/Am tournaments. This weekend I was with Capt. Ryan Williamson aboard his Fishin' Magician. The start at Sodus Point is one of the best as it has the boats allowed to gather at an inside buoy and then jockey for position in the wide bay. Quite an impressive parade as the boats pick it up and head toward the end of the break walls. Once past, it is hellbent for the fishing grounds and the quest to fill the box.. MDkSqjM_x-k
  2. I hear you, Ray. No two days are ever the same when it comes to this stuff. Just isn't meant to be I guess...Giving it your best shot is all you can do. shad ster.
  3. Nope, just another LDR...(long distance release)
  4. Here is my set up for riggers on a smaller boat. I have a removable board across the back with room for four riggers. There are ball babies and a Scotty rod holder/accessory mount dead center.. The set up in the picture is of the boat at an electric motor only lake. When I just want to go bass or river fishing the board stays home. The board is just a carpeted 2x6 attached to what are called Eagles Feet. I got them some time ago from Cabela's I don't know if they are still on the market or not. You can use the clamp ons and do the same thing. I am in the process of making another board with a track so I can use ratchet holders on the ends for use with dipsy rods. EDIT I found a link to the Eagle Feet mentioned above http://www.tandlproducts.com/products.html
  5. There is a lot to the article in the positive point of view. There are also a lot of negatives with such a move. The hard part just to start is finding a place to live. http://finance.yahoo.com/blogs/daniel-gross/north-dakota-spurred-energy-ag-boom-3-2-122815061.html
  6. the buyer got a nice boat, for sure.
  7. What about a trolling board across the back? It would give you a lot of options if you wanted to add another rigger, rod holders or a bait/fillet table and the like.
  8. Way to go guys! That was a very close tournament where one fish could have made a big difference. Placing 10th out of 70 boats is pretty darn good.
  9. Click the contact page and remind him with an email or a few...Maybe tell him you have a gay cousin who is really looking forward to the three rod rule... http://www.governor.ny.gov/
  10. Thanks Nitro. That was the first thing I did after seeing the junk in the carbs. I bought the hose and the bulb, but used the old fittings. Has Been, I have a new filter on order. Don't know what the dealer ordered though. He suggested getting a new can. I flushed and cleaned it pretty good and didn't see any particles in it. Maybe in time I will. I'll see how it performs. The dealer said there is probably going to be a lot more changes to the hoses and such with this 15% scam coming soon. Thanks again guys.
  11. Thanks to some great advice I found the problem and am happy to report the jet is flying. It was a fuel issue once again. The problem was the fuel hose and bulb from the tank to the motor. There were bits of dirt and rubber in the carbs . I sprayed them with Instant Gum Cutter and let it set for a day. I then flushed and strained the bowls. I am glad that is all it was.
  12. Nothing more than extortion (crime) with a pen. These BP people are most likely carrying out what a higher up has ordered and signed on. Why now is the big mystery. After all the years of sharing the border the Canadians decide to act like North Koreans? Are we hearing of the US doing the same and requiring Canadians to call or report ahead? Like everything else at this f^$%#d up address we arrived at you need to dot your i's and cross your t's on everything. Here and abroad.
  13. LOL, Stressed out is an understatement... It was a fun weekend with those guys to say the least. Glad you enjoyed the video.
  14. Thanks guys. I will be taking it down to try and figure out what it might be.
  15. I'll see if I can do that. Waiting on a Mercury repair manual to help with this thing. Troubleshooting is so much fun...
  16. The plugs are fine. I was going to take it to the water and try to adjust the air intake on the carbs. The motor ran great for the times I used it this spring. I make sure to run the old gas from it after each use. I am hoping that this ethanol crap is not the problem, again.
  17. Fresh gas with blue stabil mixed in. Starts right up, idles fine. Bogs down, sputters and spits at throttle up. Anyone know what the problem might be? It is a Mercury 60/45 HP jet.
  18. Thanks guys! That was from hitting the brakes shortly after the second running part the first day. So much for the patch the second day. It made me very drowsy and when I settled between the seats it was as if somebody stuck me with a go puke pin!
  19. Pictures from the first two legs of the ProAm tournament Zj-ZOKo4QKU
  20. Here are some pictures of this vessel taken last week...she's a beauty, for sure!
  21. As an observer for Ace Charters I got to take some video of the ProAm action. I was fortunate to land a lot of fish on the practice days including a 28# king. I forgot my camera that day, unfortunately. A quadruple with the Big Fatty team and a triple with Ace were highlights. Conditions during the Orleans tournament were difficult to video. My apologies to team Oh Baby. GtMe_dd3iHk
  22. More than a couple of beauties there, Miss em. Great memories made there!
  23. As an observer in all four Pro/Am's in 2009 I can attest to all of this statement
