  1. I'm guessing but I think it's about a mile south of T-falls on the east side. There is a light house on the point, cant miss it
  2. They are makeing a kit to convert cars to cng( compressed natural gas). So far from what I have read they make an adapter so you can fill your tank from your home natural gas supply. Right now the kits are not cheep but as things progress I can see the price dropping some. So at the very least we will have to swap out our tanks for fuel cells and be back on the water As far as refueling I guess that will be up to a marina to make it available.
  3. I'll be bringing up the motorhome, got out of the tent business. Like you said T-82 "fishing all day who cares". Thanks for the offer lakebound, but seems that alot of members here are staying at Sampson and I'd like to join up and learn some new things, after the derby of course. Fished Barneys and, WON the LOUALL with Final Flight on Cayuga last year and had a blast. Met Splitshot , Jason and others, great people. Good luck to all and hope a member wins this year
  4. choo-choo the only thing I see you forgot was......a fish on..
  5. Hope to meet a few of you guys up there this year. This is my first year for the seneca derby so be gentle. It looks as though I'll have a full boat but if weather turns I might need to hitch a ride. I'll be in site 362 All the power sites are reserved already. See ya there
  6. Nice shots Stan I grew up in Orland Ca. and used to fish Whiskeytown and shasta when I was younger. Made the move out here in 1995 and have never regreted it.
  7. They/We need to get a marine biologist and animal habitat specialists involved. If they install these windmills what damage will in have on the native animals, face it they out rank humans on a protection issue. California has had wind mills in the desert for 20 plus years and are trying to put in more but I believe the desert tourtise is holding up that expantion. So with that in mind, Will the fishery in Lake O be disrupted? I think yes. Will they cause a impact to a land mammel's habitat? I think yes. Will it effect the natural beauty of the land scape? You bet. So use thier own systems against them, There should be an enviormental impact study someplace for this project. We need to find it and question it's findings. Just my 2 cents.
  8. According to that link, my out of state licence would go from $70 to $15. But I still want 3 rods.
  9. I wish someone could catch these freaks and charge them with distruction of property or something for makeing us buy all this crap to protect our computers . Norton even misses some of these trojans
  10. I find it amazing that our sheriff's cant confront a litterbug because he did'nt see it. Good thing murderers and rapists don't have to get caught in the act to be found guilty.
  11. I don't consider my self old yet reguardless of what my kids say, but Well Said
  12. As a out of state sportsman I have paid my licence fee to fish in New York, however that has'nt given me the right to leave my trash on the land. Every park, boat launch, campground and rest area has a trash can. We should not be tolerating littering by ANYONE resident or non resident last time I looked New york was still a member of the UNITED STATES and as the old slogan says "Keep America Beautiful". Im sure litter laws apply to imiagrants as well as citizens of the USA. So I belive we need to help control unethical sportsman and the others who tour the land who believe they OWN the land, resident on not. The question is Have you done your share the keep America beautiful? My answer: Every time
  13. How much will it take for you to realize we are in a worse situation. Over 700 BILLION in debt and our government stock value (dollar value) at a low. Only problem, our government cant bail themselves out, get ready for CAFTA, Central American Free Trade Agreement.
  14. Its amazing!! A company who did'nt screw people out of enough money to qualify for the "Bail Out" now may be going out of business and adding more people to the unemployment line.....I hope not
  15. Good luck on rigger choice, By the way how many people run a Honda or Yamaha OB??
  16. WTG Joe Now if I can only teach my grandson that it's more fun to bring those things in the boat rather than throw things out
  17. If the funds are available, install as much track as possible. This will take the guess work out. If you don't get the placement right for a rigger or rod holder just slide it to a new location. There are several styles that would fit your needs. Great boat and good luck
  18. Saw the same @ Dicks in Vestal 106.00 ea + tax Very good price for these
  19. Launched at Treman went north on the west side marking a few, didn't get anything to fire. Got past T-Falls and went to the west side piched up 2 lt and 2 small bows but marked a ton, two fish on a purple stinger 50ft down in 70fow others were on suttons same depth. Big bait balls and fish between meyers and the next point north . Beautiful day to be on the lake. Good Luck Rodney
  20. Got a better deal than that...two 1116 propacks with swivle mounts, two 13lb weights and two sets of off shore releases NEW IN THE BOXES 650.00 Right place right time
  21. I pre freeze everything 4 to 6 hrs on a cookie sheet then seal, no mess and nothing gets in the sealer.
  22. I too had several encounters with the blow boats yesterday. I find it very comfortinng knowing that all blow boats dont have the ability to see a boat with 4 rods sticking out the back and sides and be able to leave over 100ft between them on an east/west sail. Spent more time pulling rods and bumping up riggers cause I got forced into the shallows . I know we all share the lake and must yeild to the blow boats, but I was running 2.2 to 2.4 mph and a steady straight line (normaly) and you would think with a mile wide lake the blowboat could give at least 300ft between them. What I mean is, if they want to have a conversation with another blow boat while sailing, use the radio, they dont need to be so close to hear each other fart. There was one blowboat north between the club and T-Falls that was considerate enough to to avoide makeing runs too close behind me or makeing me turn out and to you I say thank you If the others had his sailing ability all would be well and good. Could only fish saturday and got 2 one 7# and one 3# too small to weigh in so headed home. Good luck to all on the remainder of the derby. Rod
  23. Yes Final Flight is the first on the list. Getting to Rochester would not be a problem, and I too had 18 wheels under me,but gave them up 12 years ago. I got alot of comments when I was driving about my size 5ft 9" 135lbs not your typical truck driver. however remember size does'nt matter I can find Skipper19 a buffet Thanks for your support guys ,How do I send a PM, not that good on a computer.
