    I never used weighted steel. Do you attach it at the beginning or end of the 19 strand?

    Yes. The boat owner (captain) would tell us his tax bracket after consulting with financial adviser and keep that amount from the winnings for taxes. The winnings are a lot less after taxes and expenses.

    Not all conditions of the products sold here are the same though? I would have liked to see them for their condition and weigh that against asking price like most of us do on here.

    I agree they are great salmon rods off downriggers. I found some 2 piece 7 ft medium action ones last year in a small tackle shop and they were selling them for 45 bucks apiece which was cheap. I bought 4 of them. I had 3 and now I have 7. I couldn't believe I found them there. I'm not a big fan of the new model.
