  1. what is left? please update list of what has been sold
  2. deadly on smallies... like Rich said be carefull wehn getting in close they do run deep...
  3. They work good on long lines ( coppers ) deep riggers etc. match them with large 11" paddles with longer leads at least 40" plus. A little easier than using regular cut bait setups. I change the leader out with 50lb Floro after a couple break offs using them straight out of the package. Best colors for me have been white green dots behind frog paddle and green silver glow behind double crush green paddle Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. I recently ordered 6 through amazon as well for 83. Three came directly from cannon and three from overstock.com by far the best price I've found Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. sometimes the factory adjustment needs to be tweaked a little. If you go to their website it tells you how to adjust it. i believe you bottom the set screw in and turn it back out 1 1/2 turns or so. i had to adjust mine a couple times until i found the sweet spot and havent had a problem since. this is from their website Rod does not adjust properly, it is either too loose or too tight. (Either the auxiliary will not follow because the rod slips, or with the auxiliary motor tipped up the rod does not extend.) Move the inner rod in or out of the outer rod. If the inner rod will not move, remove the white plastic cap on the outer rod and back off the Allen screw inside the detente tube. As soon as the inner rod is movable, extend or insert the inner rod until you feel the detente pin drop into one of the grooves in the inner rod. At this point, tighten the Allen screw until it is snug. Now back off the Allen screw one and one-half turns. This will adjust the rod so that approximately 20 pounds of pressure is needed to make it adjust. If you want to check the accuracy of this adjustment, you can extend the rod, place the end of the rod on a bathroom scale, and try to compress the rod. Check the scale reading to see how much pressure was needed to compress the rod. If further adjustments are necessary, turn the Allen screw by one-eighth of a turn increments. It changes very quickly.
  6. Looking to see what others do for their Net Holders. I have a 25' Trophy Hardtop Walkaround. Currently I have two rail mounted rod holders mounted on my walkaroud rails that hold my nets (one on each side), with the longer nets, and heavier nets this seems to add alot of stress on the rails. just wondering what others do.

  10. Here are a couple pics from my old setup which is similar to what you were describing. This setup worked well for me when i had that boat. but like what everyone else has said once i was hooked out went that boat for a new one and a whole new setup.
  11. Welcome!!! Your setup will work for your needs. Make sure the flush rod holders you have are all metal including the pin in the bottom. Some have plastic and they will not hold up for riggers/rod holders. As far as baits/depths/etc. it depends in species and time of year. Generally browns are in shore early in the season (as soon as ice out) and shallow 2-10 feet of water and are usually targeted using long lines with planer boards pulling stick baits and spoons. The salmon will be deeper chasing bait. For salmon spoons, flasher/fly combos, and cut bait all work. As far as location I'm further down the lake to the East (Fair Haven) so I will let the other guys from your area chime in on that. If you do searches on early spring brown / salmon fishing you will get some information. Also you can check old fishing reports and get some information Mike 'Bout Time II
  12. Interested in the the 4 rod holders. Willing to separate ? And how much? Mike 'Bout Time II
  13. Merry Christmas everyone !!!
  14. I won a Frabil power catch in a tourney last year and love it. It has a big hoop size with little weights on bottom of the net which help keep the net under the fish. The handle is "keyed" so there's no worry about having to line anything up. My only complaint is the handle is slightly too large which makes it a little tough to get in and out of some rod / net holders
  15. No visible crack and oil was changed with new afterwards / first time I have ever seen this
  16. I winterize the boat by running by running 5 gallons antifreeze through the system and the out drive. Never had a problem in years. I was snow blowing around the boat today and noticed there is antifreeze on top of the fresh snow. It appears to have come out of the bottom of the lower unit right in front of the prop . Bad sign???????
  17. Another thing to do is adjust your transducer angle on the back of the boat to compensate for the blowback. I used Humminbird 500 and 700 series with good success but recently switched to raymarine c-series and would never switch back. it is all personal preference as they (lowrance, raymarine, huuminbird, furuno, etc) will work. I know i had to to do alot of tweaking to get my humminbird where i wanted it but when i did it was good and i could track them down to 100' or so.
  18. Unless that's a weird camera angle there is no way that was only 125 pounds. Are you sure that scale is accurate?
  19. Overall slow day with deer movement but I was able to take this nice 9 point at 840am didn't see a deer the rest of the day My buddy also took this 8 point same day at 10am. Looking at the deer we are thinking maybe offspring
  20. Good luck everyone. Here's to a safe season
  21. Been seeing a nice buck around the house the past 2 weeks. He's a solid 9 with a split G2. Only catch him with cams anywhere from 930 pm - 3:00am. I'm just waiting for rut to kick in full motion and hopefully his pattern will change
  22. I have hunted hard in 8F and as of last week no scrapes or rubs - I returned home and hunted 7A to find a new scrape by one of my stands - things look like they are just starting up
