  1. You can also use a standard (blue) 18 gauge wire crimp. I've used terminal ring crimps before and just cut off the ring. The coated outside insulator also acts as a bushing against the blacks release Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  2. Nice to see you back. Glad you guys were able to move some rods. it was an overall tough weekend for most
  3. Fishing was tough for me. You did far better than us. Good job on putting fish in the box Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. My boat already had lights under the gunnel and in the cockpit. They were wired to a rocker switch on the dash. They were just the standard light and worked but didn't put off nearly much light as these. So for me I just spliced into the existing wiring that was already there Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. Had the opportunity to pick a couple LED light bars relatively cheap. Mounted one under each gunnel and 2 in my cockpit area. The lights are amazing. I wish I did this sooner Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  6. Fished Saturday 530-11am. Started in 120 and worked way out to 300. Nothing to show for it. Came back in to 200 and marked a few hooks but that was it. Ran a mix of spoons / flasher fly / meat. Riggers, dipsys, and 450 copper. SKUNK for the day 7/27 - left the dock at 7 after the storms had passed. Worked my way west from 100 - 250 FOW. Similar program as yesterday spoons, flys, 450, 600 copper and 5 color lead down the chute. Best screen was out front of port bay in 160 FOW. 450 took a shot with no one home. Started to pull the lines one by one with SKUNK number 2 looming for me when the mag dipsy pulling a Carmel dolphin / crazy bi$&ch fly fired. Landed a decent steelhead in 120 FOW. Made a couple more passes and threw the towel in. Some reports of guys doing ok and some having a tough day. That's fishing. Very humbling for me this weekend but there's always next weekend Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  9. Looking for best way to run two coppers at the same time. I have a 600 and a 450. I normally run one or the other off a board or down the chute. Looking to run both at the same time. Run one of each side on board? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  10. What water did you work yesterday? With the south/east wind it can push the fish/temps around pretty bad Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  11. How long are the booms on your riggers and your rods. Sometime when using ling books and short rods your line doesn't have enough space between your cable and line and with the currents in lake O it can make a big mess Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  12. Great job !!! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  13. Fished from 6-1030am and had a great day. Ended up 6 for 10. All Kings. Fished 160-230 FOW. Traffic was heavy early on but everyone spread out as the day went on. (3) Fish came on 220 mag dipsy white board green dot / hammer fly. (1) on 115 rigger with die hard MUP setup, (1) 347 dipsy at 2 setting with green flasher / green fly, and (1) rigger at 100 pulling green silver chip with pro am fly. Took shots on all the above but no one was home and lost a decent one after about a 15 minute fight. We found the fish concentrated outside the pack and just worked that area. It was great day on the water and Dad came back sore and tired which is a good thing Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  14. Ahh thank you ! I actually camp and dock at holiday harbor in blind Sodus. There is a fresh water discharge pipe right where you are describing. It is great for browns and smallies in close. Thank you for the description Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  15. What are the silos? Fished FH for 8 years now and I never figured it out. Is it the stacks from the college? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  16. On my boat I use a modified deck chair with a rod holder clamped to it. We use two of the Diawa Tanacom Bull reels. It's a costly setup at roughly 700-1000 a reel though They do work great and have a great drag system on them. To me my only dislike with them is there is no "clicker" drag on them so you have to watch careful if you are picking up line or just spinning against the clutch. We use ours on our riggers. They work but most fish are coming off the dipsy or coppers. I may switch one over to copper and see how it performs Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  19. No my screen was lit up all day 160-220 went past 220 and lost screen and temp so I didn't bother pushing any deeper Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  20. Fished 530-11. Ran a 10 rod spread consisting of flatline, 2 color and 5 color of the board with spoons. Riggers down 75-100 pulling spoons, dipsys at 390, 250, and a mag at 190 all pulling paddle and flys, and a 600 copper with paddle fly. Worked water from 150-220. Took two kings. The first hit the mag dipsy with white board green dots hammer fly, and the second hit the 600 copper green board green fly. Never moved another rod. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
