  1. Nice job on the over the side releases. I did that with a Steelhead Sat. and he took off like a rocket in to the prop. Thud. Makes me feel bad. I'm looking forward to Oak fishing and Yeungling Summer Wheats all next week! Nice report.
  2. Hey Cuz. I'd like you to come up for a day or 2 if you want or can on the next trip 25Jul-03Aug.
  3. Nice Art Big Water and thanks for the link Empty Stringer
  4. Seaguar made it so I stopped losing fish from bite offs, As for 30lb Ande pink I use it and some of my reels haven't been re lined in 5 years. I just proofed them with 5 kings this weekend. My rods never see day light when not on the water. I do have 2 used reels with some green line on them that I like even better as it is more limber, knots tighten better and more elastic but don't know what it is! I use 50lb Ande between diver and flasher. 30 pink got broke a few times before I wised up!
  5. I have a kinked section I want to cut out of the middle. Also would like to add 50 ft of mono to another to do a wire to mono slide diver. Any suggestions?
  6. Thanks all for the Positive feedback. I'll surely get ahold of you Kooter in 2 wks. Lots of prep to do when preparing for a 9 day tent camp fish trip. Been wanting to do it for 2 yrs but cheated myself on fishing/drag racing the last 2 summers while building pole barn.
  7. Will do Ray K. I did put an open seat out right before I left. I will probably have some days open on the 9 day trip starting 25Jul. Will see who is going from here.
  8. I do like The Oak. I am planning to do a 9 day trip there last week of Jul. This trip was a bit grueling. Here's how it went. I decide to go at 1pm on Thurs. and throw the trip together in a few hours to leave at 6pm. The few people I asked couldn't/ can't do much on short notice.Drive 3 hrs, sleep in truck, up at 4, launch at 5, fish all day, go to camp, clean fish/drink beer/pitch tent/ cook supper/prepare camp for quick quiet tear down at 4am. Next day 4am wake up, slam coffee, collapse tent, vacate site, on the water at 5am/fish all day/ drive 3 hrs home. Now Freezer is broke at home, fish to clean, "they are gutted on ice" May have to run for a new freezer. I just fixed freezer. Broken wires.
  9. 11Jul went 5 for 9. All action 375- 440ft of water. Landed 3 Majors and dropped 2 though I got to fight the one almost to the boat. Landed 2 small steelhead. Bullfrog ProE with Atomik Ultraglow fly took 4 of the 5 screamer bites. Steels came on a FL spoon I just ordered and was recommended from some good ol Boys from Candor. It was ran on a 200 copper. 12 Jul went 5 for 7 . Action was 425- 555 ft. 4 majors on 2 landed. 3 steels landed. one steel 22in. NBK with a UV fly took 2 major hits, the other 2 Majors hit the bullfrog set up. The Majors were true Blue drag screamers. That's why I go! Lake was like a Pond, effortless solo fishing! Had fun sharing info with Kooter.
  10. My Amish Outfitters plane out to the side great with little drop back, but they pull very hard and you pretty much want to be near shut down to be able to reel them in!
  11. Nice going. That's a nice pic of your boat coming in!
