  1. Hi burleigh, I too am in Ottawa. Send me a pm and I will be glad to share Info. I fish mainly out of Kingston, picton and Wellington
  2. With current that heavy Kevin. How do you manage speed when trolling. Usually I aim for 2mph sog this time of year but how does that translate headed Into the current. I would think the lure action would be working even sitting still?
  3. That's a great boat congrats. The reason I asked is to each their own. I personally wouldn't buy another I/o because I fish well into dec and have no interest in cracking a block. I also feel like having the doghouse is a giant waste of deck space on a 22 ft boat. The offshore bracket also adds safety due to increasing the length of the boat and can handle larger seas. So to me I would pay more for an ob model. Add rigging etc to it and it quickly jumps up. Whether you would pay the money for his boat or not is irrelevant because someone somewhere may. I know this boat very well and also know that the tr-1, kicker and etec are worth 20k by themselves. That outboard is worth more than 2x cost of your 4.3l i\o. Stop killing someone else's thread and move on, someday you may be on the other end of this and be wishing the same.
  4. Here is a screen shot for those of you that don't use it.
  5. Highly recommend tapatalk. I have 4 fishing forums that are all accessed via the one app. It allows you to post and read and much easier to upload pics.
  6. Was it an outboard model with a 1 year old motor hbc? I looked for 6 months and not one for sale near here. Only one was in Georgia and it was 25k usd for newer but way less rigging.
  7. My iPhone 5 has no issues with this forum via tapatalk
  8. Good luck on the sale. I bet it will go quick. I just got a 2002 Starcraft starfire 190 and I love it. Very similar lines to your boat.
  9. Nice Kevin, got this one on fri night around 12am. 30" approx 10.5lb.
  10. U will have to pay hst on the purchase price of boat at Canadian customs also.
  11. I would focus on Mallory Bay Area. Lots of weeds can be trolled morn and eve but jigged all day. Also weed lines at the old church
  12. The caps can be bought at gander mountain. Or atleast they used to be when I bought mine. I glued mine after also lol
  13. I am in Ottawa and would like to get these off you potentially
  14. I for one searched for nearly 2 months for an islander with an ob and they just done exist. So rare. Way more reliable than the I/O.
  15. By then the bite will be tough. It was a crazy spring though. Id plan on fishing weed lines or rip jigging deep in weeds. Which area are you headed to?
  16. Lmao a snowmobile for a boat. Makes sense. Gotta love trolls
  17. Morning seems to happen more often but nothing replaces the sunset on the big lake when nobody is around and it's just the hum of the rigger cables or a screening drag.
  18. Glad things turned out well. I can imagine the feeling u had seeing that water. I agree with above put snubber behind dipsy that way it will pop easier when you are manually releasing it.
  19. We had fleas in 30-60 fow today on the north shore by Kingston
  20. I have seen a bunch with rod holders fastened to the ceiling of the cuddy. Can fit a bunch up there and out of the way.
