  1. Sorry just saw this now. Friend was out today for 5 hrs and blanked. Bites been very slow and inconsistent in the gap and around Amherst. Haven't seen any laker reports for bonnet yet this year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Some lakers here and there but not on fire yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Where are you located. That could play a role. For instance. In the Kingston, ont area there are very few charter boats that operate in the spring and summer. IMO there is a living that could be made there but it won't be 100k that's for sure. You would need to determine what income you need to make per year, divide that by months of fishable water. Then out of those months how many days you could fish and how many days you would lose do to unfavourable weather etc. Once you know how many days you could fish you can decide how much costs per trip / overhead you're looking at and see what rates you would have to Charge to make it viable. It can be good money when it's good weather, the bookings are happening and nothing is breaking but you have to budget for those expenses and cancellations etc. My .02 cents is it's a tough gig based on seeing several of my friends operate their business's. each of them have other means to offset their income. 4. Ya you're right. I like to keep my decorations clean so I wash them fairly often.
  5. Ah yes the holy grail. Hope you find some Mike
  6. No sir. Just as we stated above. Have fun!
  7. I troll 30lb braid. Could easily use 15-20lb on Slr and lake o but the diameter of 30lb is almost perfect for precision trolling data to track dive curves of my baits. I Don't jig or cast so no opinion there.
  8. Not sure I understand the question. You are required to have a valid fishing license and follow all fishing regulations. You must also possess all required safety equipment aboard your boat. Hope that helps. Where you're fishing would help to determine which rules to follow.
  9. Great motor. These are bullet proof. I have the long shaft model with controls. No power tilt tho. Purrs like a kitten. My buddy has one on his 27' sportcraft also and works awesome in that application as well.
  10. Where are you located? No cover?
  11. I hope u sold that ducer for more than 140$
  12. I have fished lakers in March with 35 degree surface temps and caught in 19-25 fow on shoals. It's also routine as soon as ice out happens to fish them on flats with deep water around them in 25-40 fow.
  13. Single hook or treble hook? Which do you run and why? ...yes I'm bored and have cabin fever lol
  14. I'm sure it was an incredibly tough couple years, sorry for your loss. Here's to finding some passion in fishing again. Welcome back.
  15. Yup no need then. The big motor will charge a lot stronger than a kicker anyways. Worst case I would upgrade to a group 31.
  16. My riggers are hooked up to my only house battery. Along with my graph, radio, lights etc. If your kicker charges while you troll you will have no problems.
  17. So sad. The ice can't be good in most places right now. Guess the reports up here about a boat were wrong. Condolences to the families
  18. Anyone on the south side hear of a water rescue today. Saw some tweets stating search and rescue helicopter from Trenton Ontario was dispatched to north pond or somewhere around there. Apparently one boater was pulled from the water and another was missing.
  19. They look amazing but can't do it with the Canadian dollar it would cost me way too much. Someone should snap these up. Great baits and amazing colours
