  1. I think you would find the fleas to be horrible.
  2. In Kingston ontario we have windmills all over Wolfe island and they ran a main power line from there under the St Lawrence into a main power station in Kingston. This has not affected the fishing at all in the area. It continues to be tremendous walleye and musky fishing and I know salmon/trout still follow the river into some of the local tribs. This electo magnetic force is likely false or atleast not a concern. If anything I think this cable may attract fish as I have caught a lot of fish within a couple hundred yards on either side of it. I should add that I agree the windmills are ugly and a huge waste of money.
  3. With kicker I would say garmin tr1 gold.
  4. Beauty fish congrats. Stateside or canada?

    Main Duck

How deep were you fishin? Lots of lakers out there.
  6. Most people will launch at either the Glenora ferry ramp, picton harbour or Finkles park in bath. U can also find more Info at quintefishing.com.

    Main Duck

There are prob eyes there but I think they are working towards quinte now.
  8. It's nice to be able to bump the speed up in very small increments that just can't be done via controls or tiller handle. I can go up in 0.1 mph increments. My kicker idles at 1.5 also. I fish mainly walleyes and they like 2-2.3 in summer and down to 1.3-1.5 in late fall so the control is necessary for me Good luck with your purchase. I'm sure all of the options work well
  9. Reports I've heard are not great. Typically mid oct is when things get better and build as the water gets colder. I wouldn't come till nov
  10. For trolling or for running to and from ? My vote is garmin tr1 gold. Incredible unit, gives you the remote steering and throttle as well as programmable turns and routes via your head unit
  11. Isn't there a trophy walleye fishery in the bay's off Lake Ontario in ny? If not Id be goin to quinte or the St Lawrence. If I'm gonna freeze my butt off fishing Id rather catch something worth bragging about. 18-24" fish can be caught all year on most lakes.
  12. No water temp was 68 in the reach on Monday. There are fish there but I feel they are residents. The shoals out on the lake are on fire right now.
  13. 17 imo is too small. I run 30lb most run 20+ that I know.
  14. Why not get the tr1 and remove the ez steer since u won't need it anymore?
  15. There has been some fish taken in Adolph reach. I'd rather troll all day for 2 bites that are big than fish weed lines for eaters. Swing for the fences.
  16. What else would u run it on? I guess copper or leadcore. But yes wire dipsy is money
  17. Bite has been decent there Kevin You should do well. Pm me If you want some Info.
  18. Agree with above on depending what lake. I fish Lake Ontario and bay of quinte exclusively and in only 5 years of trophy walleye fishing have caught probably 20 fish over 10 lbs and seem probably close to a hundred. I've caught a handful over 12 and one over 14. My limit is 15 before I will consider a mount. I thought of mounting 14 as it was only 30.5" and it was caught in august which is very rare.
  19. I was there yesterday. The berkley display was closed outside already but still grabbed 8 of the flicker minnows. Can't wait till next weekend. That bass pro was very organized and clean.
  20. Lower unit oil should not be milky at all. There is water getting in somewhere that shouldn't be.
  21. We are 4/4 walleye on Lake Ontario right now, All braid. All between 8-11lbs.
  22. Yup agreed. We boated a bunch yesterday on straight spoons running 5-10 ft above the marks on graph
  23. I have two also if that falls through.
