  1. Not to high jack thread but, Do any of you use the ipilot with a kicker pushing? I want this setup and am curious how well it works. How is it on battery etc. I'm looking 24v terrova on a 17' Lund fisherman with a 8-9.9 kicker motor (haven't bought yet)
  2. They had some initial problems with the cold waters and got a bad name from that. From what I've seen they took care of those issues including repairing replacing all the defective ones. I like the cold waters a lot but still prefer the clarions.
  3. So awesome to see the kid excited. My kids would be the same way. Wish more parents exposed their kids to that stuff. Good job
  4. I had a happy troller, Worked perfect. Just don't forget it's down. One time mine somehow fell down at the boat ramp and when I took off... Well let's just say I had to bend it back on the water 3 miles off shore in 2 footers. You could also look at drift socks, about the same price and saves drilling holes in your motor
  5. If they had the Catalina clicker in the clarions they'd be perfect imo. I use the clicker to detect strikes so louder is better
  6. Work great for me. I wish the clicker was louder thougg
  7. Looks great do you have any shots of interior and deck area?
  8. That's what I use and works very well for down rigging or inline planer boards.
  9. Yup clarion. I have 6 of them
  10. Sounds like a ground issue potentially. Rpm rev puts alternator higher output and may have trouble if not grounding properly.
  11. I love the ones with the outboards instead of I/o's. Any of those for sale around? My buddy has one with a 150 on it and it's perfect for what I do.
  12. Yes it is called p-t-d. Precision trolling data. Fantastic app and necessary!
  13. Dive curve meaning how much line let out to reach certain depths with lures. Walleye can be incredibly specific and even one or two feet depth difference sometimes means no bites. Or atleast so it seams.
  14. Where did you fish Kevin? Had some luck east of lighthouse sunday
  15. A quinte eye from yesterday. Only 4 caught but this one was 11lbs. The big girls are headed in finally. Bigmac
  16. Boards are a must. On quinte you can fish 2 lines each if east of the ferry and boards are really the only way to do it without tangles and messes. We've run 10 boards and 2 riggers before.
  17. Most people will run body baits this time of year. Harnesses are more for warm water IMO. Reefs and rapalas are most popular with power dives and manns being in the mix also
  18. No need to wait till fall, trophies can be caught in July and aug on the shoals between ny and quinte. Later the better once they are In quinte. Dec seems to be solid for numbers and size.
  19. Sorry to hear that, hope someone has some info for you, the world could do with a few less thieves in it.
  20. Can they be caught on the shoals from June-July also?
