  1. i use band buster releases, i am going to strip off some coating and crimp on a swivel to attach the release. the release has a swivel at the bottom, i will attach the probe on the bottom swivel. then another swivel under probe to the ball. this way i can remove the probe.thanks for the tips. firechief, i purchased it used so i have no instructions.
  2. this may seem like a stupid question but here go's. i am installing a moor subtrol, do i need to strip away the coating on my downrigger cable where the probe is attached? i have not used any kind of down speed and temp yet. most of my trolling is in the winter on the flx. thanks in advance

  6. for trolling, i wont need the remote throttle. the kicker pushes the boat at 1.5mph at idle. simple would be best for me, its a small boat usually with 3 guys and a 9 rod spread.
  7. i am looking to get some sort of auto pilot or auto helm. i have a 19' c.c. with a 90hp merc and a 6hp yamaha for a kicker. any ideas or recommendations?
  8. i am selling my c.c. to upgrade to a walk around cuddy. 2 kids and a wife made it necessary. it has a livewell, bimini top, 90hp saltwater mercury, 2014 minn kota powerdrive v2 70lb thrust with i-pilot,ship to shore, and a humminbird fish finder. also has a troll plate. just put brand new tires on trailer and replaced spring shackles and bushings. this boat has been very good to me and i hate to sell it. kept in a heated garage every winter. asking $7500 obo. pm me for more info and pics
  9. i got a 2003 18' kenner C.C. with 90hp merc saltwater and 70lb minn kota with i-pilot, triple rod holders and moor sub troll. $7500. bimini top and more. not a flat bottom it has a very nice deep-v
  10. x2 milky usually means water is in the lube. also check the seals around the shift linkage
  11. thats great, it kicks up the mud and if anything is lost it is only a piece of chain. i bet it works well. thanks erabbit
  12. anyone have any luck attaching small leaders with lead balls to a downrigger weight. the reason is to drag bottom with lead ball and not the rigger weight. i would like to try it and have heard good and bad. thanks in advance Dan...
