  1. Glad that’s all I swallowed.
  2. New that baby wouldn’t last long, I had a center console boat it was a 18’er fish as well as my 22’er lots & lots of room to fish. Hope all follows suit for ya!!!
  3. The sending unit is like rheostat that feeds ground to the guage not + juice that’s recipe for disaster.
  4. There’s pros and cons to salt water boats, all the metal is subjected to salt, dry dock or not, I’m a victim of the salt!! I will admit, what I thought I knew and what I knew was $6000.00 in ignorance!! The older cast iron everything boats it ate everything from the inside out, looked like a gem one the outside the only thing I was able to use was the crankshaft and pistons, the rest rusted up junk. The wood on my boat was preserved by the salt. I would think the guys always around the salt would have there shyt together. I’d do everything in my power to have that boat surveyed from top to bottom and front to back. It’s cheap ins. That your not buying a hunk of junk, take it from me what I have in my boat I could have gone 20 years newer in price. Best of luck to you!!!!
  5. Dont you just love it when spell check over rules your wordings.
  6. OOH, I'm using my phone, i didn't see that
  7. That guys on crack, 175 thousand?? No matter how you slice & dice the figures there's no 89 even worth $17,500?? In my book anyway....
  8. I had to use a cross bar to stabilize my planer reels I put gunnel stiffeners in and they still flexed so I made a cross bar on the top of them now they fight each other and I have no movement on my gunnels.
  9. It’s a friggen April Fools Joke, what an ass I am, well it was fun reading but not amused by such nonsense!!! I really like Mack’s Lures, but would have never thought that they would have put that on the front cover of their news letter
  10. Thanks for the heads up, I fished Lake O’Sullivan Lake & Lodge for 20+years so I would like to see that one just for shyts and giggles to see what it really looks like to what I’ve known for years. One thing my buddy Dan always said is “how in the hell do you remember where humps, bumps, channels and rocks are, even the ones just below the surface” I just remember stuff like that, I’m a vast of useless information I guess.
  11. Yesterday I was reading my April edition of Mack’s Lures News Paper there was and article stating that a new world record walleye was caught in Richland Washington, I forget the guys name, but was smart enough to keep it alive. They called the right people and they came with a official scale, and it shattered the previous record of 20.32 pounds weighing in at 23.12 pounds this is only the second walleye to be caught over 20#’s in the United States. The fish measured 38.1/2” girth measures 25.3/4” the boat it was caught on was a 1976 12’ aluminum boat being propelled by a early 70’s 10.hp Evinrude motor, he was fishing for red fins? When he knew he had a big fish on, battled this fish for over 2hrs before it came to the net. I’m not tech savvy enough to do whatever needs to be done to put up the pics. But go on to Mack’s Lures news and hopefully you can see and read it for yourself!!!! PAP
  12. What a buy!! Congrats to your sale it’s a beautiful rig, Someone is going to have many enjoyable years of fishing, boating!!!
  13. Thanks for the heads up John, and yes they are my go to lure. Like mentioned hook em up send them out, not like those bananas that are flopping on top the water 150’ back, I’ve learned over the years to throw em overboard and watch them page left or right or just spin out and dance on top the water. then make adjustments from the pull point of the lure.
  14. Yes Sir this is the place to cut your learning curve, of course the actual physical end of only come from your time on the water and the best teacher is your wallet, costly mistakes makes for quick learning. surround yourself with experienced people and you’ll have shyt going on in no time!!!
  15. Is what you have pics. of still available what’s the cost of shipping out of Canada?? I’m liking the bottom one for my man cave!! I have it done in all vintage lures and spinners huge ones for pike ect.
  16. If you used schedule 40 pipe that would span the distance, that way you could screw caps on the end or there’s some with a big square on the end like a 2x2” or bigger that maybe you could affix a gear on and a 12 volt tarp motor or winch motor of some sort support the front and rear, maybe center off the boat floor. Done deal
  17. Even that won’t work for me, my boat gets trailered 250 miles, I have no control what happens once she’s at camp.
  18. The only thing I was worried about is from the pump up in the copper tube from the pump to the power steering cooler, I always get a lot of water out of there, I think that’s were the water come out because there is a slot in the pumps face plate where the water gets pumped to the water inlet in the gimbal housing that area is level, unless when the lower unit is lowered it acts like a siphon? Also the water from the inlet side of the motor, is a power steering cooler,( on mine) I can’t remember if that the main water line to the engine water pump, which is in the engine box now. This is for a Gen1 GM mercrusiser pre 91. I’ve never had issues with the lower unit it’s always been from the inside of the transom that I’ve had issues that won’t drain on its own. I think I would get a hold of hank on here before you do something you might regret in the long run. This is why I’m so done with the I/O’s
  19. We are supposed to get hit with snow again this coming weekend, ugh yea tonight into Saturday which according to the weather map it appears that it will intensify off the coast of Jersey and cover the area of eastern basin of LakeO they were even saying northern part of Pa. could see lake effect snows??? I don’t mind the cold but I can’t even think about uncovering my boat, the first Saturday in May will be here and I’ll still have snow on my tarp.
