  4. Great post... Mike, Nick help this guy out and me too!!! Love Seneca:wub::angry::angry: The two things I may suggest would be longer leads on dipsy, running them farther back, and today on Cayuga it was a mag dipsy bite.. much deeper, I get about 105-110' with my wire rod back 310'. do you use inline boards for your lead cores? also you hit the lull time today for" the bite" oh one more thing no silvers today on Cayuga compared to 6 salmon yesterday... 6. Rolmops I Truly appreciate your service to or country. You have my utmost respect! My son just enlisted into the army, he goes to basic in two weeks, I am very proud of him. When my friend was interviewed for his security clearance he said this about my boy "he is Ted White and Blue ". Now back when he was in fifth grade he was told he could not bring in Mr. Nugents book because it became a distraction to the class, and it created to much debate... I have a degree in political science , I went in and discussed this with the teacher, the book was allowed... if we stop debating politics we stop learning. If we don't consider all possibilities we become closed minded. I agree that this may not be the forum to discuss this topic but this site is full of great outdoors folks, each has their own opinion which is what forums should be about. I hesitated to comment on Obama's speech because of my starch conservativism. But he has learned.. He is a short term pres., his party is not condoning his actions but I give him credit for taking action and protecting our country. The political lines are too far apart, there is only one thing brings them together, war, or to say it more acceptable way, war on terrorism.. oh by the way president Obama also supports natural gas drilling. So go figure he needs more $ to support his Obama care.... what we need to do is keep learning and don't take everything you hear from our media as truth or gospel.... whether its Fox news or CNBC.. just saying..... lets fish! 11. Got a late start. On water by ten, probed a few areas looking for big marks, found some but they were tight lipped. Rigger with uv ff with blue ito fly buries. Land a nice 7.5 lb Laker, back in the water, decided Omalleys was a good idea for lunch, so here am at a bar, great food and awesome views. More report to come. 16. X3 on what Jason said. The south end had the only nice bait that we marked, wish I had stuck with that area. Also there is a chance for some beautiful walleye! The winner of that tournament had a five fish total of over 36 lbs... three Lakers, a Brown and an 8 lb bow, wow!! Stop into hills n valleys (Elmira) and grab a few stinger sized spoons, and anything finger lakes tackle.. Like sk8man said run some shallow and fast, even if you are over deeper water. Good luck Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Congratulations Mike! The one thing that produces fish is being workhorses. You and your crew are freaking Clydesdales!!! We did the same working those big arcs, lockjaw!! Fished with a buddy and his 14 yr old, first timers.. they were great to fish with and ground it out with rain, wind and some slow fishing. Ended up 15 for 17 Mostly thin 15-18" Lakers, also one nice small mouth. Great seeing everyone and a pleasure meeting you Les! Hope to see you all next weekend at B & B tourney! 20. We have fished Canadaguia only a few times, each time it had been like you described. Do you think it was the cold front shutting things down or is it as simple as the fish were in between feeding times? I am of the theory that fish have their big "dinner" at first light ( may be full moon) then from there they eat till full and six hours later time for lunch, then a light dinner before night. Also I have found if you are seeing lots of deer feeding the fish are doing the same. Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
