  3. Take your wallett to Hills and Valleys... FLT spoons and Spin Doctor Flashers plus an assortment of flies. All the equipment you need is there too! I sound like an advertisement but I am just a fan..... I hope Santa gives me a gift card from there.... Or Fat Nancys
  4. Welcome to LOU , Just listen to SK8man he has the goods! Oh Erabbit is good too Seriously the knowledge on this site is PRICELESS! Thanks to all the guys that post
  5. I was just looking at the Work sharp tool. Has any one bought one cause I am about to pull the trigger on one and see if it works as well as they say. The principle behind it sounds great! Tired of my Smith carbide pull through but it works...
  6. caramel dolphin SD with a big weenie pull my finger fly........ (love the names of these and FLT lures) Finger lakes killer! Run from black #1 dipsy or off a rigger 8 ft. back. Leader from SD to fly 12"-16"..... Lots of tries with different combos seems have been my hot combo this year but others seem to work also!
  7. The one you took second with.... Memorial weekend... Like you have caught a bunch of thirteens..... ha maybe... it is Seneca not Cayuga
  8. Seneca is a bit farther for me to go to. I agree bigger fish in Seneca but mostly mid lake and North during the summer months (long drive). Cayuga has been very good to me.. Both lakes are great to live near! Will post something
  9. Won't miss it. Thanks again Great Choice for sponsoring a great event!
  10. Headed to Cayuga today, you are tempting me to go to Seneca.. Were you in the south end?
  11. I want to buy the spin doctor and fly you caught the 13lber laker on
  12. Awesome story. I Love a great blood trail!
  13. Thank you Veterans for your Service to our great country. You are appreciated!
  14. Great job we track a bunch of deer every year with my leashed tracking dog. You did everything perfect. When in doubt back out. The ability of the deer to live is beyond amazing, I have encountered deer that have had the same type of kill shot and have tracked them over 600 yards. Around our area the coyotes are so bad it is almost impossible to wait over night. Last week we tracked a buck that was shot at 5 pm we starting tracking at 9pm and ended up finding it at 10pm over 900 yards away, almost totally eaten by yotes. The buck was shot at a bit too much of a quartering to angle but right behind front shoulder, one lung liver and lodged in back leg. Congrats on your buck, I have a name for the ones that do not die easily "robodeer" Good luck everyone this next week should be crazy hot!
  15. Great job Les! I hope I can get the boat out on Friday if the rain holds off or not.... Thanks for the inspiring post. Looked great out there! Do you think that there was a lot of activity right on top where the fish finder can't see ? Just a theory
  16. Long nose old swamp monster. Sweeet!!!
  17. Crazy perch guys! Hey Les congrats on your 2000th post should have a party or something for you..... Thanks for all your great insight on fishing, its truly appreciated!
  18. I would be more inclined to say a fish with a lamphrey on its side slashed at the bait and the lamphery was caught...... I had a nice laker on this year that came off for an instant but my slider lure caught the lamphrey on the side of the fish, (rehooking the eel) ended up landing the laker with the hook in the eel... Wow either way too many of these parasites this year in Cayuga!!! Help DEC!!!
