  1. Trying to pay someone around the brockport area... Can't get a hold of Rob- any other contacts?
  2. Just tried to send a pm to Legacy and didn't work for whatever reason- Anyways I'll be at sandy all day on Wed and will have cash on me for the registration.
  3. We went out of sandy today and didn't do much. Worked from 80-360-250-350- and back in to 100 and didn't do anything until we hit the 100 mark. We ended up 1-6 on the day- all steel or very small kings
  4. Did another brown program today. Set up in 10 Dow and worked out to about 45 before we took our first shot- lost a HOG at the boat- stayed in 50-65 all day and did 15 or so browns. Avg was around 8. Went a total for 6-15 with most being lost due to big rollers which kept us from being able to do more than 1 fish at a time. It was a lot of reel in and throw it in a rod holder if it wasn't big enough. Had maybe 3 triples or so from 7a-10a
  5. Yeah I'm pretty impatient normally it's 2 hours inside and kings the rest of the day lol we did a 12.8 the other day but he got tossed back lol
  6. Tried to do a derby brown this morning and finally committed to staying inside. Top was 68 and we had a ton of bait an hooks from 20-30. Took 2 whacks going east- 1 was a skip and the other no one home. Trolled around and wasted gas the rest of the morning. Threw the kitchen sink at these fish and couldn't get anything going. 1-2 on the day.
  7. Had to take the girls out for a joy ride at noon- you know how that goes
  8. Went out with my mom today and got out at around 730. From then til ten we have done more doubles and triples than I can even count. Mixed bag of lakers and young kings. Probably done 10-15 (only 3 lakers) biggest king was 15 and then it shut right off at 10. Every rod took a fish but the spoons were the key for the kings today. In 80-95 all day kings were right at 40-60 range- anything below was lakers.
  9. That's when you drop her in N for a few seconds and try to get something going. Play with speed when you get a looker like that
  10. From my younger years when all I did was fish bass in creeks/ rivers- when the lake flipped it was game on. I think they move into the creeks where the water is substantially warmer. Just my .02
  11. Dont use floro for your leader. Wire=no stretch floro= no stretch. That's a good way to lose fish and tackle. Use 25-40# mono.
  12. I haven't really noticed a difference between lighting situations- you have your go to paddles, you use them, and they take fish. I've run chrome paddles in dark conditions and in the middle of the day- haven't noticed any difference in hookups. I've run "plain" paddles in the same conditions and also have not really noticed too much difference either. I run probably 3-4 paddles (of my 20+). When the bite is real slow ill move to some unusual paddles, but 90% of the time my main 3-4 paddles will take fish. The lake is always different, the fish are also different and that's the beauty of it- you get to do some experimenting! Good luck out there!
  13. If I loosened up the drag anymore it would drop to the depths lol. Thanks guys! I figured it was time for a motor
  14. Who knows- hopefully the two guys in the kayaks didn't get run over!
  15. I have a big Jon that keeps popping the breaker- not the whole breaker just the "fuse" part where I have to keep pushing the knob in. All wiring is legit and have tried everything that would eliminate all electronically related issues. I've tried cleaning the motor with no help. Is this a motor issue? The rigger has a 5a breaker in it (my other rigger w the same breaker works fine) Is this a motor issue or could it be a bad breaker? I think I'm going to buy a brute motor and breaker to upgrade but would like a little insight as to why this keeps happening. W
  16. Lol there were times where I would look up and see a boat 100yds from me! Talk about freaky. I puckered my butt first thing in the am when I was in close and heard a boat screaming out from port. All I could do was cross my fingers.
  17. Lake has flipped has 56 on top all day. Managed to do 4-5 all at the same time in 120fow. Did a 11.5# brown 2 small lakers lost another small laker and 1 6# steel. Did the "good" fish in the upper column from 20-45 ft.
  18. It depends on what you want to do. It's an investment- if you plan on fishing the lake or a while the riggers can always swap from boat to boat as you upgrade. You might want to go with a newer electric. If you are going for cheap- go 1970's manual lol you can find riviera manuals for next to nothing and they work just fine. More work but they all do the same thing. I would save my money and do it right. Good luck!
  19. http://www.tunasreeltroubles.com/SHIMANO-TEKOTA-DRAG-INSTALLATION.html Step by step for the tekota drag install- pretty straightforward. Nick- nice vid btw! It will help out the first timers immensely! It's also cool to see how other guys do it out there.
  20. Dr- it's very easy. I believe if you look at ebay.com and search for tekota drag (they're a carbon fiber drag for 9.99) There is a link on a step by step on how to replace! Ill see if I can find it for you
