    Looking for a single cannon uni troll down rigger with boom extension for a cousin of mine. He currently has one, the other was stolen off his father boat a few years back on pt peninsula. ( scum bags) Last year he bought a boat and mounted some of his dads old gear on it. Hoping some one can help us out. thanks joe

    Thanks for the advice, sounds like that's what I gona do. Had to dis connect my kicker and steer with the tiller handle on the shake down. That wasn't to fun

    The steering on my 2003 star craft has gotten tighter over the years. I have a 90 hp merc out board with the Steering dampener, hydraulic assist cyclinder on it. Like most larger out boards, Not sure what it is actualy called. Is there a way to lube cabels or any ideas what I can do to free up steering. Thanks Joe

    i fished with a 16 ft side counsel for years, just don't be stupid and you will be fine. Check forecast and use the hourly feature to check wind. I have been in the middle of erie and Ontario with it. Mine was a 1600 angler and it was a awesome stable ride.

    In ohio do you hang tree stands or climb in one already set up? 1000 acres with restricted access, sure should grow trophys! How bout ya ll rent a bus and I ll stay and hunt your propertys. lol Only if their up by the lake that is!

    We have a great whitetail hunting in ny, there are plenty of trophy bucks out there. Now days everyone wants a trophy, even the guy who is wearing carharts and smoking on way to his stand. Be smarter than the guys hunting next to you. If it aint broke don't fix it! Access to good land is key, if your not willing to help landowners with property maintenance, fire wood, posting property or what ever than that's ur prob. Lets face it ever since the NYS state dec has started changing hunting dates, bag limits ect. it has been a downward spiral for our deer heard.

    More busted up bucks this year than i have seen in the past, Seems to be alot of competition for the doe. Where i hunt in monroe county i have seen more bucks than doe. They given doe tags to everyone and their cousin and then i hunt at my camp this weeken and see 21 deer in one sit and only get one tag for down there. WOW!!!! We need to strap the dec top boss to a tree so they can see whats goin on in the woods not the office! welcome to ny, high taxes, low salmon numbers and no deer, lol

    Ur land will only be as good as ur neighboring property. If u got neighbors that hammer them year after year or over hunt , don't play the wind ect ect its going to effect ur hunting. deer don't know property lines. Maybe stop and talk to neighbors or drive around the block on a early morning. Something to realy consider.

    As far as divers and riggers u will want both. Each has its days. On my 17 ft I run 2 riggers and 2 divers, sme times 1 wil run an extra diver on a 10 ft rod if ther hot. The riggers wil get u guranted on bottom, bounce em then up a few ft. Stan glad ur health is good, I guess I will stop saving for ur boat! Ur boat is awesome! and good luck wit the 20 yr olds!!!!

    Yes definatly big enough. I geter done in a 17 ft. My first new boat was a crestliner 16ft side cousel, had it out 8 miles on erie many tines and the shipping lanes around Henderson and every where in between. Wen I grow up I getin myself a 1950 fishhawk. That boat got some beam width,more like when the kids move out, lol

    X2 on the true talker, When they stoped making the original I had to raid the kids toy box of them all. I use to purchase a new one every year. Only got 3 left. I have 2 of the second generation, but it aint the original. My buck this year fell for the true talker and 70 percent of my bow harvests have also. I have called in mature deer on the first day and the last day of season with that call. I also carry a primos buck roar in case I have to amp it up, and of course the original can. Each call has its time and place. That a tank king slammin, congrats

    Congrats on all the great bucks harvested. Stuff happens fast in the tree and I don't like guessing, I shoot 3 pins. Ther is so many things that have to align to successfully take a deer with the bow, I try to eliminate as many as possible. When I bought my used bow it came with trophy take sight with verticle pins. I absolutely love it, keeps the whole sight window open. It also came with a drop away rest that captures the arrow with calipers on rest. not sure of brand. Love that. I messed up on the biggest buc I ever had on me in bow range wen me arrow fell off rest with the trophy taker, was a one in a million thing, but it happened. Good luck! keep pileing them up

    I shoot 50 pound draw weight and always have. I shoot thunder heads for over 15 yrs, and they drop deer like my buddy plow drops kings on the disey rod.( like a bad habbit.) As long as bow is properly set up they shoot like field points, Phil convincened me to shoot the stingers and the next 2 deer I let an arrow fly on I was unable to recover, one was a mature buck. Just my personal experience, I switched back to old faithfull and have never looked back!

    Matt ur able to skip ur anniversary every year for our walleye trip, then last yr would have been ur fisrst one to be home and we decided to stay an extra day. She aint left yet. Or tell her I need help tracking one early morning bfore the yotes get it, it worked in the past. Maybe we work out a deal an I watch the kids.

    Its defiantly primetime in monroe county. Harvested my biggest buck to date. 150 class ten pt. Field dressed at 194 lbs. Lured email in with some esterous beats an grunts. Called in 2 small buc yestetday afternon an they literly came runnin in. Budy on way over to hang his first bow buck to. Bout to head out an have a cup of coffee wit my buck!! Wil post pics wen I figure out how to do so. Good luck to all in the field!!

    I took my kids down to the archers club at oak orchard, Saturday morning and in 2 hrs we only seen 3 fish hooked and no fish running. Then we stoped at the fish cleaning station up by the dam and nada person or fish there. Last yr the place was packed and at the archers club seen many fish running. And yes it was our worst king bite that i can remember on the big o. Jst my observations. I don't belive a WORD the dec or our government tells us.

    Yea kinda late but, Have a few spots left for boat/camper storage. Have a covered awning for boats up to 25 ft and indoor for smaller boats. $100 for the season. Also have concrete pad for larger stuff., outdoor though. Joe 585-857-2781 txt or call thanks

    Thanks for the input, still trying to decide, I have had great luck with the thunder heads. A 6 pack of heads last me many seasons. I like the fact that I can shoot multiple deer with the same broad head, chisel point and blade removal for gently resharp or replace. Yea I am cutting it close, season knocking on our door!!!!!!!!
