  1. I was wondering what time the shot gun start is, would like to take the kids to see this as we will be fishing Saturday out of the oak. Fished some of these in the past pre-kid days and can’t recall start time.. Thanks
  2. I have a few open spots to store boat, car or what ever.. this is in the lower level of a barn, concreted floor and out of the weather. The entrance is 6 ft tall. Location is Kendall ny. The pricing is $12 a ft.

  8. Had a great week of boating and fishing with the family up north. We decided to go for bass instead of the finicky east end walleyes. We are rather new to smallie s but managed to get plenty, found fish to be in the 8 to 20 fow zone and hungry for the drop shot. Fished around the head of point, the isthmus and grenadier. When we weren’t fishing we were touring all over the region in the boat. Those of you who reside up there are fortunate to have a variety of quality species of fish to target! 14. Thanks for the replies, I purchased 4 diawa sealines from a fellow Lou member and he gave us a few rods. What a great site this is! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Floyd- thanks for the response, I get ya about being on the fence.. I always have to switch out my mono reels for the lead cores when needed.. just one more thing to do and rember. Luv2– If I had an option I would prefer to go with something similar to the Diawa 47 since the larger handle provides more leverage in the handle for the kids and reeling, but beggars can’t be choosers 🤣 Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. I am looking to see if anyone has any old outfits they have been looking to get rid of. I currently only have 4 line counters and my other set ups are the older 47 Diawas. With the kids setting rods it’s complicated for them to count the passes to get the baits where they need to be. The line counters are much simpler for them. Not particular on any brand as I have a conglomerate of miss matched everything already. Thanks in advance. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Great job out there! The best way to learn is how your doing it! I started walleye fishing 20. Yr ago and had to figure it out.., well still really haven’t tho.., burned a lot of fuel and time but that’s the best way.. anyone can follow the pack or do what the guy at tackle shop heard.. but what satisfaction is there in that? Keep on keeping on and you get out what you put into things! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. The isthmus is rather shallow and would be touchy in a boat that size especially with the current water level.. also a long run into the bay on open lake that can be unforgiving. We. Launch out of Longpoint st park and that puts u on the middle of good fishing, but no guarantee the docks will be in. Also the Chamount bay marina on the north side of 12 just west of the chamount river would be your best bet with a boat of that size, as it has permanent docks. Any other question hit me up Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. Great article and congratulations to both of your successes! Takes a strong team to accomplish such Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  23. Thanks for the input on this topic. I decided to go with Justin’s recommendation. I got in touch with lky2fish and he has me committed to him, with our phone conversation and then the pics he sent me! Definitely a walleye guy and am looking forward to the finished product! Thanks again Lou and happy holidays! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. JT- thanks and I will message him! Been 20 yrs on the water in search of this fish! 196- she is 31 ich and 13.2 lb. not the longest fish we have ever landed but defiantly the fullest! My sons 12.5lb was 32.5, only if he would have caught in December and not May she would of been one heavy weight for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. Hello, I know there had been some discussions on Lou about taxidermists and I am in search of a good walleye one. Got personal best over the weekend and will be mounting her, just not sure by who. I have one by American wildlife that looks good after I clear coated it and 1 done by Adams last year. Paint looks great but the form he made is rather bland.. any recemodations would be great. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
