  1. Well it depends how often and how far I travel. If I fished the golden cresent every weekend no way would I keep every eye, keep them in the water for future generations. I will keep some the big eyes for bacon wrap, but not all. If I travel a few hours once or twice a year I will keep most fish. We catch and gently reaslese all othe species of fish we catch. It seems like the younger generations of fisherman are a little more likely to do so. I talk to some older walleye guys, all hush hush and keep all and even poach by taking more than their daily limit. I just don't understand that.
  2. nice work fellas, its on out there!!
  3. Chamount is typicaly only a spring spot, ur gona have to head to the lake this time of year. gallos, calf, stony, ect, ect. Unfortunatly takes some time to find them out there. If your looking for any numbers you may wana try else where. Awsome area to fish tho, good luck

  11. any one been out around buffalo area this week, wounderin if. the bite has turned back on at all for the walleye, tryin to see if its worth the trip . may try the late afternoon into the nite one more time. thanks
  12. nice work. thanks for the reports, king, coho, whatever, a nice fish reguardless,
  13. yea i will have to agree. the boat acess to the lake is pretty sad. i launch at sandy until the pleasure boats hit the scene, then try to avoid. nice launch just could use a few more launch lanes. you go to lake erie and look at smal boat harbor and dunkirk and that what we need, but thats the trade off for a free launch, launch fees would add up at yr end. i guess its a double edge sword. sandy at least would benefit with a shuttle service eith a college girl drivin like sbh!!
  14. Thanks to all involved, it was ran seamless. Great work and what a awesome place the oak is, it deserves that kind of tournament! Congrats to the whole yankee troller team.
  15. Went out last Wednesday landed 5 and lost quite a few. Yea there are walleyes there. put in at 6 am and pulled boat a 6 pm, didn't find fish till around 2 tho, when we marked some we caught some, didn't mark a lot tho and no bait. Was a tuff bite for sure. Had a lot better luck with the nite bite in may, seemed to be a ton of fish then.
  16. Awsome!! Looks like you got a fishin partner for life!!
  17. I run wire. Always have good luck on Erie with rigger and long leads.
  18. Fished outa small boat harbor, beautiful day but had a tuff time getting them in the boat. Tried the wind mill, smokes, Seneca and Meyers. Didn't mark much, all in tight little packs. Landed 5, one arnd 8 lbs, and lost to many. The stand out was a 3 color lead,( had trouble kepin them on this) did 2 on rigger, one on a wire diver. All on worm harness. Cotton wood was terrible, made a tuff bite even tuffer.
  19. NICE WORK! An with the music jammin
  20. if ur goin with a manuel get ones with a big diameter reel. I had a set of proos and loved them, buddy had cannons 10 they were great to. The reel on the proos were twice as big as my bigjons. Makes for a much faster and easier bringing it up. Was graet for me with bad shoulders.
  21. Good stuff! Nice looking ride. Ur son gona have some strong arms after lifting all those fish over the years!
  22. Went out sat nite and fishing was great. We stayed clear of the boat traffic. . We pulled rods at 2 and the last one in the water and boom, make it one more! We trolled a 1.5 to 1.7 gps speed.
  23. Dam that's a hell of a eye for silver! Congrats on her catch
