  1. Down speed and temp is huge difference. We can all judge by the way or dipsy are pulling, but with the probe everything is precise. You'll wish you installed it earlier Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  6. I bought my boat three yrs and went through of issues. I literally souls fish a weekend and boat be in shop three weeks. After I got stranded once I put a new mercury pro kicker motor on it. I then installed a Panther steering unit (after not being able to do a reasonable auto pilot on mechanical steering). I probably spent around$4,000 for everything. I can now fish myself with ease. Other great thing is even I take my younger kids. I can literally work all the gear, pop the rods, net the fish, etc. With no help. Going against waves (3 foot or bigger) gets tough. If I simply troll with the waves in a rough day I rarely have to steer. Now I literally power out (couple gallons of gas) and then troll 6 hrs on 2 more gallons. I save at $50-$100 a trip depending how far out. Also no more getting stranded Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. If you worked this morning you really missed out. Shot out of the mouth and had intentions of heading down to the Oak or least half way. Once I started it was too rough to make good time. So I started near Eagle Creek Marina. 20 min my down rigger didn't pop, it literally got stuffed under water and it was on. After a killer battle got a 26lb in the boat (70 down over 160). Finally set up and the wind was killing me so I spun around headed towards the nose. Withinn next 1hr I landed another 20lb and an 18lb (early bird got the worm). Now 7am and I'm crossing the nose with a decent screen (not much bait marked) when my dipsy out 350 takes a shot. Nice 7lb steelhead. Over the next two hrs I landed couple skippys and two more steelhead about the same size. All that action was 140-160. I kept trying to slide out but being solo made it a pain. As it slowed down I threw some meat on a dipsy and sent it out 350. Quickly it got hammered with a slob. I watched it screaming and never stopped after stripping 250 feet and then poof, gone. Made me sick. Immediately switched over to meat on both dipsy and my deep rigger. 95 over 140 I took a nice Atlantic. Then one final dipsy screamer and after a minuet felt the rod go limp. Been brutal out of Sandy however last two weeks I've been grabbing at least one major an outing. Think the storm last night pushed allot of fish down the line. Good luck and tight lines to everyone. 10. West wind must of blown them down our way,😉. Launched out of Sandy at sun up and motored down to Johnson Creek. Tried fishing that way , buy solo couldn't control the boat in the waves and run all the gear. So trolled East. 140-160 caught most my fish today. Meat down deep worked great (dipsy or riggers). Biggest came off spoon 70 down over 160. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. I'm just headed in. Crushed fish 14-160 east of you. Largest 24.5 Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  13. I fished yesterday afternoon 3 till dark with dad and a buddy. We started in 550 fow and had 45 degrees down 90. We we trolled south 3 hrs till our first hit in 250 fow andlanded a 12 lb King. From there we ended 11/12 in last 2 hrs. We did nine kings 12 lbs still being are largest and could of usual bruiser Sandy creek Lakers. Headed back out this afternoon. All our fish we 150 to 250 fow 75 to 120 down. Mix of FF an be spoon, 400 copper, and deep riggers. No cheaters or weighted lines worked. Happy Father's day to all. 17. Behind the ball (with spoons), I usually run 25 ft behind at around 60 down. The higher I'm fishing the more lead I send out. If I'm really sending the Canon balls deep (over 100 feet) I'll tighten them up (maybe 15-20). Definitely a detail most guys overlook. On my boat I rig over side my buddy does the other. When we get a hit its always the question. How deep was it, what color was it, Hong long was your lead. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Lost a nice fish also, broke swivel off a new spoon ......... Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  24. Just got off the water . three king 6-10 lbs and 12lb laker on a high rigger as I was pulling them in. Missed 4 silver fish also. Every King or steelhead can't of a cheater. Caught fish in 160, 150, and 105 fow. Real speratic making, but marked air a few 40-60 down. Surface temp was 52 degrees all the way out to 250 fow.
