46 degree water 50' down isn't so good

Fished from 6am-1pm today with my partner. We fished 26-28 line and hit some way points from yesterday. Bite was good until sun came out and cold water started moving up in the water column. Cold water is inside so still an off shore bite. We finished 10 for 15. largest was an 18.5lb king and a 10.5 lb steelhead some skippys and 10-12 lb kings. Hammer time spin Dr and meat was hot early taking 3 fish and another swipe and miss. Big king came on Capt Valium and mirage fly. Gator,AK47 and stingray white with green dots also took fish. Fished from 11:30 til 5 this afternoon ended up 10 for 15. 2 kings skippy and 17 lb 1 laker and the rest steelhead best being 10.5 lbs. fished 25-28 line. Fish were in top 70' of water. King came on white green dot SD and sweet pea fly, Fuller AK47 was hot as well as silver carbon14' stingray wonder bread took one and got hit a couple times. Took 2 shots on meat but both came unbuttoned. Not bad for solo and only 3 rods Good luck and good fishing DD

Head out solo this afternoon west of the river again.Fished 26-28 line. Ended up 5 for 8 a skippy king a 10lb king and the rest steelhead. Had a triple on steelhead with only 3 rods, landed 2 and broke one off trying to knock a lamprey off before I boated it(stupid move) Gator is still hot and I caught a 13 lb steelhead on a protroll and meat rig,figures when I'm solo I catch it so no derby entry. Finally the lake permitted fishing today! Headed off shore west of the river fished 27-30 line. It was a bit sporty getting out there this a.m. But gradually it layed down nice. We went 12 for 15 with 4 kings ranging 7-11 lbs. the rest were steelhead of which 2 we weighted in 10.4lbs and 10.3lbs. Fish came from 70-90 down off riggers and dipsys . Gator was the hot ticket taking all but 3 of the fish.Fleas are almost completely gone. Things look like they may set up nicely this week Good luck and good fishing DD
