  1. Can these these ponds be fished with a small 14' tiller steer? I got a little boat with a 20hp and trolling motor sitting at camp. I saw there's two launches on lakeview and colwell ponds but wasn't sure if it's cartop or trailered boats. Are they all connected? can you run from one to other or is it too skinny to get through? Is the fishing any good in there? Looks like it'd be good bass and pike fishing in there.
  2. Where at in PA have you got into snakeheads? I live here and haven't come across any yet.

  4. Thanks. Ended up with the mako, the Eskimo wide 1, and a lowrance elite4x.
  5. Brand new to ice fishing. I'm doing some homework on gear. Planning to spend some time on Chaumont Bay, Black River bay and maybe Black Lake and Butterfield Lake. Not trying to spend a ton of $, but I want to be fairly comfortable. For shacks I'm looking at the Clam LegendXL, the Nanook and the Shappell Bay Runner. I'd like to get something suitable for 2 people so when my daughter gets older she can come along. Would be nice to be able to cram a second guy in there too if it's real cold. I really like the Bay Runner with the hard floor and shelf. Is thermal fabric really necessary? I have a big buddy heater and I'd think that'd keep a regular shelter warm enough to not be miserable. Whatever shelter I get I'll be pulling it with my Sportsman. Does anyone have a Bay Runner? Pros/Cons? I really like the idea and design of it, only thing I see is the doors in the floor might pop open while being pulled and it's not a thermal. Otherwise looks pretty slick for one guy and a little kid, possibly a second guy but it'd probably be real tight. Seems to have plenty of room for gear, beer and food for one guy at least. I have some old downhill skis I'd think about mounting underneath of it as well. Also thinking about the Eskimo Mako gas auger. Are these any good? It got a lot of good reviews and it's not terribly expensive. Any opinions on the Lowrance elite 4x ice machine?
  6. Boated a king last weekend finally. Got another one on Friday then skunked all day Saturday and Sunday morning. Nice weather though had a good weekend. Last two photos are of the same female from Friday just different people holding it. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  7. You probably caught that King on my lure. That fish by default belongs to me lol. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  8. Couldn't open the link. What's the issue in a nutshell? I've read snippets here and there about the feds wanting more LT. Is that true? Also, why? Whats so great about LT?
  9. I love my pellet stove. I also have a wood stove I use to heat the entire house. Pellets are way easier hands down. Very little ash and it's a lot less labor intensive to stack a few tons of pellets than it is to cut wood. Figure out what you plan to use it for. Will you use it just to throw a bit more heat in one room or to use as a supplement for the entire house? I use my pellet stove just in my basement. Wanted to go with another wood stove but had no way to vent it. I ended up buying a cheap pellet stove at Lowes. It's actually pretty decent for how little I paid for it. I installed a Harman in my parents house and that's superior in every way to mine. The lowes version got terrible reviews, but mines been trouble free for 6 years. My brother bought an equally cheap one as I did from TSC and his hasn't worked right since day one. I'm going to replace his with a harman this winter and put his old one out in my shop. If you plan to use it hard, get a good quality stove like a Harman or Napolean and make sure it's sized correctly. Spend the extra $20 or $30 bucks per ton for premium pellets, you'll be glad you did. Don't buy pellets from the big box stores, you neverknow what you're getting. I buy only Hammers or O'Malleys. Another word of advice is to run your electric through a surge protector. The control boards in those are pretty sensitive for whatever reason. Clean the chimney pipe after every half ton of pellets. They throw a lot of heat but not as much as a true wood stove. I'd def recommend one over wood for convenience. I think I read somewhere that in Jan 2016, the EPA is requiring new emission standards on all wood/coal/corn/pellet stoves. This means they'll all probably have a cat converter on them and the price will increase. So hurry up and purchase one before the end of the year even if you don't install it yet.
  10. Finally got a salmon on my boat. Only took all year. Here's one from a few weeks ago with my recently adopted daughter Madelyn at fleet trackers camp. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  13. few smallies we picked up last weekend. Buddy isn't too good with cell phones so the photos suck. Had 2 real nice smallies and a mix of other stuff. Lots of small walleyes, silver bass, yellow perch and a few pike. Think we had about 47 total over two mornings. Flat lined diving sticks 12-18 fow. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  16. Anybody have a 2120 or a 2320 near Henderson/Sackets? Hoping to take a look at one or both if possible. Wanted to see some things in person.
  17. Been a rough couple week, wasn't able to get up the past 2 or 3 weekends. Got up for the weekend with my neighbor and his kid. Today was the kids bday and he wanted a salmon. Tried the trench Saturday but the little guy got sick, buddy could t drive the boat real well and it was a tad rough. Headed home empty handed. Trolled a bit in BRB today. The kid pulled in a medium 27" pike his first ever. He was excited. Mouth got mangles pretty bad so I kept it. Had a handful a silver bass and 3 misses. Had a fun time even though we did t do too well. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  18. Nope, buddy's little kid got sick so we didn't do anything. Beside I hate trolling. No idea what I'm doing. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  19. Busy, very busy. It sucked actually Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  20. You're probably an hour and a half boat ride to the trench from there. Fish eel bay and lake of the isles for good bass and pike action. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  22. Few pics from this weekend. Fished on the Reel Happy with FleetTracker yesterday and puddled around for bass this morning solo. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  23. Damn nice work. Were you up in the river or the bay? I picked up 3 smallies trolling near sackets. Nothing spectacular but I was only out for an hour or so. Got a little windy and I had some things to do on the boat. Snagged a tiny rock bass too. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  24. Been having a crappy season with bass. Was planning on coming back up to camp tomorrow to fish for kings but it might be a little too snotty out there still for my little boat. Might fish for bass if we come up instead. Is anybody doing anything at all in BRB, Henderson or Chaumont? I'd consider trailering to black lake or butterfield lake if those are producing as well. Fished black lake a month ago and only got 3 bass and a crappie....Fished Chaumont 2 weeks ago and only got 3. Any help would be great!!
  25. I've been trying for bass all season out of Sackets, just south of there. Been very dismal for me so far. Heard lots of guys are having similar luck.....Kind of sucks actually.
