  1. I will take lot 1
  2. I really got bit by the flasher spin-n-glo setup this spring to the point I started making my own skirts. I find they really extend the morning bite once the fish aren’t as active. I see on eBay some folks sell them without a skirt all rigged up with beads. Do folks use them without skirts on the FLX?
  3. I would love to buy a X2 local instead of online as I live in rochester. Any suggestions?
  4. Ebay All day. Soak them in windex for a few days and they clean up nice

    Canandaigua Strange Trip

Fished Sunday on the south end and just trolled north with a pretty strong wind at our backs! We only got 1 on the boat but had 7 releases in 3 hours. I modified a couple DW silver mags with brushed aluminum look paired with glow spindoctors that get lots of hits but I feel they are too big causing a lot of misses. Next year I am going to pick up a couple silver DW’s non mags and modify them. Tomorrow we are determined to try out rain program on south end of keuka lake and then we put the boat away until next year. thanks for all the post’s on this thread it’s been great!
  6. Who ever buys these I will pay $20 for the candy corn DW

    Canandaigua Strange Trip

This is my first fall fishing the finger lakes and today was my first trip at the northend because I wanted to avoid the FLTA tournament in woodville! We found water temps in the 40s about 90 feet down and started our laker program with cheaters on the upper lines for about an hour with no luck. We switched up things a bit and put on my glow green spindoctor with a silver mag and immediately we got a release and then another with 2 lakers. about 930 we swapped out to the flasher fly program at the same depths and we pulled up 2 nice rainbows. Maybe the temps changed but what were those bows doing down so deep? strange.
  10. Interested if you would entertain shipping them to rochester
  11. Typically at this point the current is strong with the gates open. You might have better luck at the state park
  12. You can almost see my house! It’s a hidden gem the farther up you go.
  13. It was a pretty morning!
  14. I have been trying to put together a spin n glo program after the morning bite for a few weeks and have absolutely no luck! Today out in front of taughannock falls my oldest and I decided to stay out until 11:30 working on said program and boy did it pay off! trolling slow around 1.8 really was the sweet spot and today the wonderbread flasher with a gambler chartreuse spin and glo picked up 2 laker right off the bat including this big boy!

    Canandaigua Woodville 9/12

We launched at 6:15am and went north on the west side with the wind until about 8:30 and the the lake Lake down until about 10:45 and things got nautical quick! We had our best luck in 170 fow and rods stacked at 110 and 95 with a cheater probably around 45. i will be sure to say hello next time I see you out.

    Canandaigua Woodville 9/12

A cheater is an extra line attached to your Main line that slides down to the arch of the bow attached to your downriver release. My leader is about 6feet. I have been trying for most of the season to find a setup that doesn’t get tangled and have finally had some luck today.

    Canandaigua Woodville 9/12

We were originally going to fish bears tournament on Cayuga but logistically couldn’t make it work so we decided to hit Canandaigua and ran into another trout tournament at the launch. we ended up getting 3 in the boat with a bunch of misses. I need to pick up some new treble hooks. Silver was the color today! I got this pretty bow on a cheater probably about 45 down going south on the west side Around 10am. We ended up keeping it and throwing it in the smoker for dinner.
  20. Thanks I have never fished a tournament before so having separate divisions means what exactly? It’s a limit tournament for each species per day?
  21. Is this a lunker or box tournament?
  22. Is the the tournament a 2 day box tournament or a lunker?
  23. Can I drive my boat up to myers or do I have to drive up with my boat in tow?
  24. I had the best luck stacking at 75 with spin doctors and some luhr jenson silver 00 flashers at 65.
  25. Long story short this is my 2nd year trolling for trout and this the second year I brought my fishing boat up to Keuka for our annual week long vacation (this is year 35 spending a week on the lake with my family. ) my old man had a fishing boat in the 90s and we always had good luck trolling for trout Using Bradstreet a On Jenson Moocher flashers on Keuka until the mid 90s when the lake dried up hard and all the bait fish just disappeared. I stopped up at fishy business on the way and bought some firewood and a watermelon spoon to add to my arsenal and fished 5 days in total from 6am to 8:30am right out on the bluff to the green barn and caught on average 4 fish every trip. my first mate Jeremy joined me on every trip! My speed going south was 2.2 and north was 2.4. I even took my old man out with me twice during the morning and he brought in some fish. The good news is there seems to be some life starting to show in old lady Keuka. The bad news is all the fish were tiny and only a few were keepers. I didn’t keep any btw. Considering last year I didn’t know what I was doing and didn’t catch anything I feel this was a successful fishing trip! Here are some pics
