  1. Great video👍🏽. I took a bunch of videos this year to give me something to watch in the dead of winter when there isn’t ice and the boat is covered and need to feel like I am fishing again.
  2. Those pike are dandy’s by the way, what a blast that must have been
  3. I agree, late fall is awesome. Little fishing pressure, tranquility and bigger fish to catch. Hard to line up a day off from work with good weather/ wind but when it happens it’s all worth it.
  4. We found them in 45’-48’ that weekend but the wind made it tough to stay on them and the anchor seemed to spook them. Ended up keeping 35 with two outings but a nice 13” and other large ones mixed in
  5. How often do you catch a 22” largemouth 😳
  6. I love November. Big baits and bigger ‘eyes. This was the smaller of the 2 I caught tonight casting, threw the 24”er back. Was hoping for an eater but settled for this 23”.
  7. Has anyone been on the river lately? I’m looking at the water line along the boulders and the dock where the boat is kept and I can’t reach the water with my hand if I lay down on the dock. I know because I dropped my $120 cutco fillet knife into the drink while loading gear on the boat and couldn’t retrieve it because our net wasn’t long enough to dredge the bottom 😥
  8. I was on the river last weekend and the water level is down almost 5’. I don’t know how low they typically lower it each year but it is definitely down quite a bit.
  9. I just wish the weather would cooperate. I was on Otisco yesterday morning and all was well until I got poured on. Fortunately I had my deck soap on hand and gave my boat a good scrub and a natural rinse before I called it a day.
  10. I am hoping to get out on the lake from the lighthouse launch next weekend and wondering if the water level is high enough for a smaller 17’ boat to get in?
  11. The swivel bases aren’t in good enough condition to put on my boat otherwise I would have kept them. I oiled them up so they rotate ok but the springs are rusted out and won’t lock in place.
  12. Nice, I didn’t get a landlock this year but about everything else on Skaneateles. I put most of my trolling gear away besides a few rods for steelhead trolling in another week or two on the big O.
  13. The wind/ weather is definitely limiting trips but when I have been able to get out the fishing has been excellent for perch and I’m literally all alone out there.
  14. No idea but could be because the fishing is so good and people are being tight-lipped or they’ve put their boats away. I’m still going out every weekend until the shore ice forms
  15. Each tree will have to be fully protected by fencing or deer will mow them down to nothing. Also protect each trunk or rabbits will damage the trunks every winter and shorten the life of the trees. Many popular eating apple trees are susceptible to disease so I would suggest Dolgo crabapple trees. 4’ saplings will grow to 8’ in 4 seasons and will no longer need protection. The crabapples grow to almost 2” in diameter and deer and turkeys love them. Be aware that if you order trees from out of state their description may not be accurate to our region. My Dolgo crabapples have just started dropping in late September and will continue to drop until February and will attract wildlife throughout the entire hunting season.
  16. I have some I’m willing to sell. Not sure of weight, will check when I get home but have a few at least 3 lbs kicking around.
  17. I forgot to tell you the longer boom is 4’ not 6’. If you want it I can put it in the box as well.
  18. Right, the Digitroll also says Magnum 10A on it so I assume for parts sake the guts are the same besides the LCD touch panel which you can’t find anymore. I never ended up putting these on my boat since I went a different route with manual downriggers but both run.
  19. 6’ and the other I believe is 18”
  20. 2 older Cannon Mag 10A downriggers for sale with swivel mounts. Both riggers power up and work. One seems to work well up/down with the toggle switch but no LCD display on the screen. Could probably rebuild these (LCD model is no longer made) to work great or use them for parts. Pick-up only. Located on Onondaga Hill by Onondaga Community College.
