  6. Thanks for the report. We fished our of there Sat as well. Had a good day but couldn't get the screamers in. Landed several 10-12# kings and lots of smaller. Mainly spoon and meat Bite for us. Fished 180-280 with lots of action. TEMPS sporadic but mainly down 100 or so Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. Well I feel your pain on the tackle issues. Had a guy lean his entire weight on a rigger this weekend while trying to reach a release (didn't use rope for some reason) . And you guessed it, snap goes the entire downrigger. All you can do is laugh at moments like that. Glad you still had a good day! Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  9. X2. I never put net in the water early. Always wait for that right moment then quickly dart it under the fish, and of course ALWAYS head first. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  11. This one I can answer emphatically from experience. Tileman Dan is absolutely correct. I ended up with wire dipsy, copper, and leadcore all in a ball on my deck. Learning experience to say the least. Stayed away from copper ever since. To stay with this thread, can anyone give some basic tips on how to launch a copper line on a board when dipsy is out in order to avoid a mess? 13. Really appreciate all the responses so far . Lots of research to be done uet, but this certainly shortens the search. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. New Fishfinder Advice I realize that this topic is one that gets repeated often, but with everything getting outdated I thought I would try again. I am in the market for new fishfinder. I am a rookie when it comes to electronics. I don't know much but I know that my current one is from 1992. I would like GPS and great fish finding abilities. Finding bait would be huge as my current one does not. Next year I am getting a new autopilot but not sure if that even matters to this conversation. Would like to stay under $1000 Thanks for all of your help in advance
  15. Welcome to Lake O. Fleas can be tough this time of yr so using heavier line will help. Sounds like you will be just fine. Spoons will work but variety sometimes is the key. It seems that flasher flies off dispeys are working this yr so if you could stop and grab a cpl flies that would be helpful. Also do yourself a favor, grab a pretied meat rig or 2 and some herring strips at bait store and put it down in cold water and hang on. I am nowhere near a pro compared to the rest of these guys so I am sure there will be a lot of other good advice. Good luck and post pics of your Dad's king!
