  1. Forgot to mention, fleas were terrible on the diver wires. If left in the water for more than 10 minutes, the last 8-10 feet above the dipsey was just packed with fleas Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  2. Henderson Finger 7/21-7/22 7/21 Left sackets at 0530, started setting lines by 0630. Started near the mountain and trolled into the waves towards west in 140-150 FOW. Decent action on 18-22 lb kings and a few lakers from 0830 to 1030. Action died after that. Hits on meat, FF, and spoons. Lost a screamer on a black/green pro king spoon on 87 foot rigger over 135. Pretty sure he wouldve been our biggest, he ripped out to 400 feet on the line counter before I could even gain any line. Lost him shortly after that. 220 and 242 mag wire dipsey on No. 2 setting and 100 and 87 foot riggers took all the shots. 7/22 Same game plan as day before. Lost two really good rips on meat and FF divers out 200 and 220. Broke another good fish on same black/green pk spoon. Ended up landing a decent 19lber and a 5lb jack on moonshine bad toad 88 rigger. Landed a few nice lakers too. Had at least a dozen rigger knockoffs that never came tight on a meat market paddle/ pro am fly. Headed back in around 1100. All in all, pretty decent weekend on the eastern side. Wish we couldve boated a few more of the hookups we had on saturday, but thats kings for ya I guess.
  3. Roll call for this weekend, anyone heading out? Sat-Sun looks good. Off work Friday, but storms look pretty likely. BluTooth on Channel 68 if anyone wants to share intel. Itching for some silvers, havent been on the lake in almost 3 weeks.
  4. I grew up fishing lake erie walleyes out of Erie PA, and still fish them a few times a year. From mid june through sept, 5 color with bagleys, reef runners clean, and dipseys with willow harnesses and spoons are all we use, and typically pull a 3 man limit ( 6 a person) by noon. Divers are definitely not a waste of time there. Tactics are a wholeeeee lot different from our part of ontario though for sure.
  5. Nick, just paypal'd you for BFF. Thanks to all the guys and sponsors for making this event happen. Its definitely worth the drive for me and my crew, and I'd definitely encourage any captains thinking about participating to get in on it!
  6. Didnt you just get done putting the name on it??? Whats next? Bump for a solid, fishing catching boat.
  7. Shawn, I used that launch a half dozen times this year, its not too bad. Just be ready to get your feet wet or wear high boots. Water is probably 2 feet at the end of the dock ramp. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  8. We boated one laker this morning, lost a nice brown at the boat. Missed two more on the riggers. Saw some bait deep in 130 fow, not many fish marked though. Welcome to june fishing in our area I guess. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. Team BluTooth is in again for Fri and Sat! Cant wait, really looking forward to it. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. where are you located? I'll take the middle 42nd and far left one.
  11. I launched there saturday. Water at the front of the dock was about knee high when i was there. Pretty hairy launching solo, but its doable. Your truck wheels will def be wet. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  12. Henderson is useable. I launched there yesterday. Make sure to wear extra high rubber boots as the front of the dock is underwater Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  13. I know it! That mudline was moving east quickkk too Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  14. Decoy, i think we were trolling around you guys yesterday. Saw your rig pulling out of lakeview this morning too. We did about the same, no bites on meat though. Did get one coho on a uv gator mag stingray too. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  15. It was worth the 4 hr drive for me. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  16. Fort niagara launch is open. I launched there yesterday with several others. Just wear boots, its very wet on the docks Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  17. Did 2 mid teens kings, 3 big lakers, and a small coho. Launched out of the north ramp. Lots and lots of debris. Beware. Conditions were sporty Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  18. Also planning on trying to make it to the bar and get some fishing in this weekend, keeping a close eye on the weather. Trailering a 23' wellcraft and staying in Wilson, which launch would you guys use? I'm assuming water levels are all high and ramps/docks will be tricky. I was planning on Wilson/Tusc state park, not sure of the current condition though.
  19. Henderson launch is definitely usable. Went out today. Just make sure you put down all your gear before the cut, broke off my vhf antenna there two weeks ago. Clearance is prob 8 foot or so under the bridge right now Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  20. Mine are all sold Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. Pending sale tomorrow. I will let all parties know, but pretty sure they are sold. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. Cannon Gimbal Mounts 12" Cannon Downrigger Gimbal mounts, for use in 30-degree flush mount holders. Only used last year, decided to hard mount swivels this year. Worked out great, just wasnt removing riggers as much as I anticipated. $30 each ($60 for the pair), pickup anywhere between Syracuse and Watertown. Will ship if buyer pays shipping. These retail for $60-70 each. Also selling flush mounts from 2004 Wellcraft, not sure of the brand. Look new, no issues, just removed to hard mount riggers. $10/each. Photos attached. One pic shows rigger mounts in action last year.
  23. Matt, didnt get installed yet. I think i'm too scared to hook up the hydraulic lines til after our spring king trip, dont want to screw up the steering. We'll see how bored I get though, might get to it. Dev, i'll be in touch on the radio next weekend, hoping to get something going brown trout wise.
  24. I followed this thread and it worked out pretty well. http://www.thehulltruth.com/boating-forum/396344-oxidized-gelcoat-makeover-pics.html#b I bought the boat last year and the blue colored hull was pretty oxidized. Photo is after first round of buffing on one spot. Shouldve taken better before and afters, but it worked out well. By the end of the season though, I'd say 30% of the oxidation was back. Plan on doing the same process this weekend.
