  1. It just amazes me that they can run this derby and not have trained eyes on board for fish id. Its really not that hard to tell them apart but yet this is an issue every year
  2. I saw that. Thats wild. All I know is it sounds like those guys had a hell of a weekend and were on a good pod of fish. I assumed bait fishing with how many fish they had on the board. Almost a surprise to that they were trolling! They were definitely doing something right!
  3. That salmon is a fish of dreams!
  4. nice slam there Nick! That ain't easy on the "on life support sea"
  5. I'd do 200 with shipping
  6. There's another on here for 150. I'll give you $175
  7. I dont understand how a derby thats been run for however many years and is as traditional as it is can be run so poorly.
  8. I couldn't help but notice the first fish to lead the derby this year was originally marked as a brown then as it got bumped down it fell into the landlock category???? According to the standings it won the landlock division. Is this just a miss print on the site or the yearly mis-identification that takes place in the NLTD?
  9. I've had quite a few over there this year. Mostly small ones but that one you have there looks pretty big
  10. I'll actually take it even if I have to pay shipping
  11. Interested. Where are you located?
  12. Nick mentioned mags but don't be afraid to go small either. Stinger scorpions are great spoons for browns throughout the season. Also a good tactic while fishing where proper temp meets bottom is to "jig" your rigger ball 3-5ft occasionally. Raise it then wait 3 seconds then lower it back to where you had it ect. Browns often bite when the lure changes speed or course. Make "s" turns aswell. Driving in a straight line on auto pilot is rarely best
  13. Its cayuga. Ill post a derby flyer soon
  14. As more guys get geared up for the year and start using this site again I want to bump this post to the top. ^^^^
  15. Is mast still available?
  16. It does in fact work for what it is and I do know bass guys do stage off to the side but I feel like there could be something done. A dock wouldn't block that too much. The biggest issue is the middle part of the days during the summer. Its taken as long as an hour to get back in for us before and it is really unnecessary. Its just a matter of time before a storm or something causes injury because of it because people can't get in in time.
  17. It was beaten up bad by spring and even with a ton of complaints they still put it off forever. That launch during the peak launches 100 boats a day at times bringing in $800 a day in revenue. You'd think the least they could do would be keep it in tact for the folks that use it so boats aren't damaged and its not so hard to launch. Without getting too deep into it I really wanted to start a petition to see about getting them to put in a set of finger docks (or even 1) off to the side by the bathrooms so guys could launch them pull the boat over there while parking truck and warming motor before leaving so the next set could launch. The incoming boats could also drop off a guy go go get truck so pulling boats out was faster too. However seeing how long this took makes me think that'll never happen.
  18. The water level is low but do able for some. However monday-friday or Saturday next week its going to be closed do to them doing some repairs that are long over due
  19. Looks like it will be Nascar weekend this year. We've always done it the same weekend each year and actually have avoided Nascar weekend but it is what it is.
  20. Mark it on your calenders guys and girls. Saturday August 7th this year. More updates to come as well get closer and registration begins.
  21. Anyone know what time they open?
  22. Had a pond hunt with some buddies last week and we killed 10. Went and hunted tonight with a couple buddies after running the last charter of year. Knew there were only a couple flocks coming in but needed at least a send off to September volley. We killed 6 out of one flock then had another short stop us. Good enough for a last little day quick hunt. 4 hunts so far and have watched 58 birds fall.
  23. Hunted the evening of the openner got there late but managed to kill 12 between 4 of us. Last night my buddy called me on my way home from a miserable windy fishing tournament and said he scored some permission for one night on a spot and we had to go then. 2 of us in an aframe with 8 dozen divebombs. Shot our limit in an hour once they started flying. Absolute barrel burner
