  1. What motor are you putting on it?
  2. I just bought a 2016 Fishmaster 196 new last year powered by a Yamaha F200. I bought a new boat and motor so that I wouldn't have to worry about fixing things every week like my old boat. I have no complaints whatsoever. The aluminum on mine is not thin or flimsy at all. Send me a PM if you have any questions.
  3. There are stairs that you can cut down to the launch. I found them after I walked all the way around and down the first time I was there.
  4. Franks outdoors sells a pair of offshore boards with tattle flags for 80.00 I think. Cheapest place I found anywhere.
  5. Go to Youtube and search either offshore or church planer boards. There a few videos on how to use each of them. I prefer offshore boards myself. There are videos on offshore's website also.
  6. From what I was told a few months back, the green numbers are the older models. I just bought six new ones and they are all white.
  7. I have great lakes planers rod trees on my boat and they are nice. I bought them because I can easily remove the tree from the base with just a few turns of the knob. I have to remove the trees to get the boat in the garage. I have not had any issues at all with them.
  8. x3, the braid will slip on the spool if it is tied directly to it.
  9. Got my flashers yesterday, exactly as described. Thanks
  10. I have everything hooked up to a size 27 starting battery and have never had a problem with low voltage (2 riggers, 2 graphs, temp probe etc). I have my 9.9 Yamaha charging the system while trolling. I don't think you will be pulling up both riggers at the exact same time very often if at all. I would not worry about it as long as your starting battery is good.
  11. well that sucks, hopefully I wont have any problems. Thanks for the reply.
  12. I watched the video and it appears that it would work well. I have used tufline micro lead for two years and also use back to back uni knots to connect the backing and leader. Like chowdaire said strip off about 5 or 6 inches of lead from the sheath and tie the knots. It is compact and flows the guides without issue.
  13. Anyone know why some have white numbers and some have blue numbers? I'm assuming one model is older than the other possibly. I just ordered a few and they have the white numbers.
  14. It's on ebay right now too, it will be gone in a couple of days regardless.
  15. Andre is correct. It has GPS, 2d sonar and downscan sonar.
  16. Brand new in box lowrance hook 7 with lake insight mapping card. Box includes the unit, transducer, sun cover, power cord, mount with screws. 375.00 shipped to your door.
  17. I want to try and troll for salmon this year on the west end of the lake. I have no idea what color or brand of flashers I should buy. I am looking for suggestions so that I don't buy a bunch of unproductive colors. Looking at buying pro troll or Dreamweaver. Thanks in advance.
  18. I currently am using Okuma Deadeye rods for my board rods. I think they are 8'6" long and are telescopic which is nice when you put them away. I'm not familiar with Diawa's but any decent reel with mono will do. I use the Offshore boards and if you use braid they suggest upgrading the front clip to the OR 18 clip.
  19. Medium action rods work well with in line boards
