  12. He has several videos on how to connect the weighted steel to a small micro swivel and then you would attach the 19 strand to the other end of the swivel. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Wow, from reading your post it seems like you know everything there is about muskie fishing, and you researched and perfected everything before you even attempted to muskie fish, and have never hurt or killed a fish, right? The OP is entitled to keep the fish and get it mounted if that's what he wants to do. He clearly stated that wasnt his intention but you guys continue to chastise anyways. Rant over. 14. Rusty, is your prop stainless or aluminum? A stainless prop will give you better performance. I have yamaha's on mine so I am no help on proper prop size and pitch. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. I know they were catching eyes in 40 to 50 ft of water last week which would be okay to fish in a stiff south wind as long as you ran the shoreline. Not sure what size boat you have but any wind other than south blowing over 15 mph will be rough out there. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. It gets just as rough with any wind other than a straight south wind over 10 mph. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. We found some nice sized fish this morning to the west between wilson and olcott. Anywhere between 250 and 310 was best for us. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Same here, 2.3 to 2.5 and both were firing the last couple days. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. That's awesome, I saw you guys at the cleaning station when we came in. It looked like you had a couple real nice ones. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. Went 3 for 5 this morning. Ran west towards wilson, set up at around 830am just a little east of wilson in 250 ft. Got three hits right away and only landed one of them, about 17lbs. Broke one off on a minion rigged meat rig on a dipsey out 150ft. and lost another on a rigger 50 ft down. Moved out to 310 ft and caught two out there. One 21 lbs on a minion flo bot and uv SD on a dipsey 200 ft out and another, 17 lbs on a rigger set at 55. Rigger fish was a chrome and black SD and minion night fury fly. 21. That's what i figured but wasn't sure if that changed. I would gladly take you up on the offer on sunday if it was too windy for my boat but my wife wouldn't appreciate it if i left her behind i'm sure, she gets sea sick pretty easy. If i was to do that she would probably take my truck and boat for ride back home while i was out fishing. She has this habit of reminding me on occasion that she is part owner of my rig. All kidding aside, thanks for the offer.
  22. Is the wilson launch open? Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. Thanks for the replies. If its rough out my plan is to run the shoreline to wilson and troll back with them and try to get a few hours fishing in. Will probably stay in shallower either way. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. Sunday is not looking very good right now. The forecast has been pretty consistent the last few days with the winds picking up Saturday afternoon thru Monday. My wife and I are heading up Saturday morning thru Monday. I wish someone with experience up there with south or southwest 15 to 20 mph winds would give us an idea of what the lake might be like. I know that on Erie I would not be fishing in those winds. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. I also have a fish hawk and wasn't aware there was a difference. The day that i ran the meat at a slower speed i caught a few bigger fish on the meat rigs and flasher/fly rigs and only caught a couple of smaller 5 lb fish on the spoons i was running. Maybe i will try to speed up a little bit and or run smaller/lighter spoons in the spread the next time and see what happens. Thanks
