  1. I'll take one if you plan on making more. Looks like a great size for a spoon box!
  2. I have never seen these for sale used which says something about their quality. I bought 4 of these last year and I love them. They were tough to buy brand new...they were backordered for 8 weeks when I bought them. Good luck with your search!
  3. Got it. Funds sent. Good luck with your snowstorm...I can't wait for winter to end and the trolling season to begin!
  4. I will take them and you can ship with my dodgers. Let me know if it costs a bit more to ship both. Thanks
  5. Payment sent. Address is in your PM and in the notes on paypal. Thanks again, Ron Vallas
  6. I'll take them. Let me know how much to ship to 60177 and PayPal address. Thanks
  7. Remember this commercial, LOL? So true. I have 2 old 7 footers with wood handles that I still use as rigger rods. They just don't quit!
  8. I still have the roller tips on mine but there is a thread in the open lake discussion about doing that.
  9. Sorry Uglyokuma, I only have 1 of the 9 footers and I can't part with it. It's my noodle rod. I actually use all my Ugly Stiks except my 10 foot dipsey rods. The dipsey rods are beastly! Every rod on my boat is an Ugly Stik except my Talora dipsey rods.
  10. Interesting...I have 30 Ugly Stiks and every one of my BWD models are without the trigger. I do have a few BWC models that have the trigger though...
  11. Wholesale Marine is having a sale on bottom paint. Up to 43% off. I picked up a gallon of Pettit ablative for 180 bucks, which was almost 40% off, and their normal price was 20 bucks cheaper than West Marine to begin with. Free shipping too.
  12. No problems here, and I bounce bottom for Lakers with mine regularly. They track perfectly after two years of bouncing. The fin is thick aluminum. I have seen guys bend them on purpose to make them directional, but it's not easy to bend. I think he sells them pre-bent if you want directional weights.
  13. I love my Ugly Stiks! 7 footers are my favorite. I believe the difference between the CAL and BWD is that the CAL has the casting trigger on the handle and the BWD doesn't.
  14. Here is a pic of one of my bikinibottom weights and my custom foam holder I made. This color, I believe, was called gator, but he makes several other colors. Do a search for the author bikinibottom and look for his classifieds thread. He has prices and pictures.
  15. I fish tournaments on Lake Michigan. I have used both sharks and bikini-sharks and will stick with my bikini-sharks. The bikinis have facets on them too, if that's what you believe is catching your fish. I have 14 pounders and 16 pounders, and will be buying an 18 this year with the money I have saved...
  16. I don't buy into the hype they tell you on their website as far as being an attractor, but they do track great and have minimal blowback. There is a member on here, Bikinibottom, that makes his own version of a shark weight that looks and performs just as well as the sharks I have fished with for less $$.
  17. I just renewed mine yesterday. For 49.99 they are sending me a new updated card and I can still use my old one on my small boat, it just can't be updated anymore, which is fine for how often I use it.
  18. Thanks for the advice. Funny...my neighbors call me goofy Ron too, except my line is hooked to the hitch on my truck, LOL.
  19. Those are some great observations guys. What you are saying makes a lot of sense. I don't run a chute rod and always try to set my inline board drags as loose as I can without slippage which makes it easier to detect a strike in the waves. How do you guys set your board rod drags?

Sold / Closed Grady White 24 Offshore

This looks like one of those older boats that have been babied and well maintained her whole life that are rare finds. I found one in 2017 with my '92 Grady White Gulfstream and couldn't be happier. I'm sure this boat will make someone just as happy as I am with mine and good luck with your sale!
  21. I've heard smart troll has great customer service as well. The owner actually travelled to Kenosha Wisconsin to help an angler I talk to on a local fishing website dial his transducer in on his Alumaweld boat. I've been wanting to install one on my Grady but have been hoping they would have another sale like they had a couple years ago. Would I be able to use that savings code as well? As for the Earl's questions, I prefer the cable signal systems over the transducer systems because of the fact that you get quicker readings. I used to have a subtroll, which I loved until my probe broke off. I switched to a Cannon Speed n Temp which had to be altered to get better readings and they stopped making years ago. I have fished with the Depth Raider many times and it's a great system that I will probably buy when my Cannon dies. I plan on buying a Smart Troll to use along with my cable system so I can have the best of both worlds like Yankee Troller does.
