  2. Started at about 6 am. Fished until 1030. Only had one bite. We went west all the way to Wilson. We marked fish. We marked bait. We tried everything. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. I have been running a triangle shaped flasher gizmo connected directly to the ball, and out a spoon above with a short lead, maybe 6 to 10 feet back. It catches fish. Same principle. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Well good luck to your also! I think I would tow my boat to the atlantic instead of lake ontario though! I do love saltwater fishing. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  7. I'm not sure how my Grady white 22 foot is going to work. Might be too small for 30 miles out, and too big for many shallow bays they have. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. The land we're buying is being torn up with hogs. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Hello all. My wife decided we should move to San Antonio Texas so she can be closer to her mom and sister. She deserves it, so I'm making it happen. Probably move in November. I got my job transfer already. We have bought 15 acres out in the country and we're building a house. Lots of hog and deer tracks on it, and we flew down last week and we even saw a turkey gobbler. I hate to leave the great lakes fishing we have for Salmon on Ontario, and Walleye on Erie. One good thing is the house will be 2 hours from Corpus Christi, so I plan to keep the boat down there. I'm not sure how down riggers and fish hawks will be used in the bays and Gulf of Mexico, but I will find out. I am now thinking about selling my 9.8 kicker and getting a 40 or 60 get home motor in case I go way out in the gulf. Not sure what HP would be required to provide an advantage over the 9.8. Anyways that will come later. I'm looking forward to my last season on Lake Ontario and Erie. Tight Lines Friends! Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  16. Water means nothing to deer in my experience of Hunting them in the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge during drought years like this year. In fact I made. Post on this forum a week or so ago concerning this very topic. I suggest spending your efforts and money on food plots and cover. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  19. I have to finally conclude that water is simply not a factor in hunting deer. I hunt the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge, for 17 years now. This year is a drought. There's been a few other years like it. I can walk to my all spots with nothing but ankle high hiking shoes. There's been years when these same spots required hip waders. So, when this occurs, I seek out water sources for trail camera set ups and I have even hunted them with no success. Yesterday I thought the hidden ponds I found near soybean and corn fields would be getting hit hard by deer, for water, since it's the only water around. Just as in other drought years, I found that NO, the deer are not going there. Hardly any tracks in the mud that encircles the ponds. I am now convinced that water is simply not a good strategy for deer hunting, even in a drought year. Where they get their water I have no idea, but I can assure you these ponds are the only water sources within a half mile to mile away. The next closest would be oak orchard Creek, about a mile away. Perplexing. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  21. Me too. My tree was covered in poison ivy. By time I realized it I had already been breaking the vines and removing them as I climbed up. It's on my wrists. I went to dermatologist last year for same thing and he gave me this steroid cream. It was the only thing that worked. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. Here's more pictures. Bullseye's at 20, 30, and 35 yards! They hit 3 inches right and 3 inches Lower than the Field points. So made a slight adjustment and this is the result. I unscrew the head, pull the arrow, and fire again, and it hits in the black every time. I could not be more happy. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  24. After over 40 years of bow hunting and trying many types and brands of broadheads I eventually settled on the Two blade Rage. But, I was never totally happy with them because of the retaining o rings or plastic rings. I just bought some EXODUS fixed broadheads. Sacrificed one for target shooting. After a slight sight adjustment, these broadheads fly and shoot better than my Field points! Bullseye's at 20, 30 and 35 yards which is my max. I thought it might be a fluke so I screwed another head onto a different arrow. Same result. These things are amazing. Made in the USA. I will attempt to post pictures but this forum usually doesn't allow me to. EXODUS full points. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. Yep, me too. They don't bite. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
