    Driver question

I had a diver question. I was think about changing my divers. Currently I'm running dipsies. The issue I'm having is that they don't seem to be going to the side very much. Even on 2.5 they seem to be more straight back than to the side. I was thinking about slide divers or Chinook divers. Does anyone have a preference with the divers ? Does any of them pull away from the boat more than another ? I run an 18' Stectum sport if that matters. Thanks for any help Unrelated to the divers. Did anyone do anything in that mess yesterday ? Got a couple nice Steelhead before we got blown off the lake Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app

    Flasher/fly and meat rig speed

I was wondering what speed I should be doing for flies and meat rig. I have done ok on the spoons but have struggled with the flies. I usually troll between 2.4 and 2.9. Should I be going slower for flies ? Like this past Sunday I trolled 4 lines with flies most of the morning. I was coming back to the bar and decided to switch to spoons. As crowded as it was i just used the 2 riggers and had as 22# king hit it. Thanks for any help Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app

    Olcott weekend

Nice job guys. Them are some nice kings. We were out there Saturday. For some reason I couldn't find any kings, but we killed the steelhead. Did u get s weight on the king in the 3rd pic ? That is an awesome fish Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. I was just wondering how deep everyone was fishing ? Is it too soon to be back to normal ? I was heading out of Olcott in the morning and heading towards Wilson. I was assuming to start offshore I 500ish. The only thing that I have heard was that the 28-30 has been good. Is that still true ? Thanks Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. I don't use cut bait as much as I probably should. With being if the buffalo area where do you guys get it from ? Most of the time I get it from we'd at Slippery sinker. But recently I got it from a place in Clarence, ny. It wasn't very good. It seemed dried out and old. Also how do you guys like to run them. I have 2 meat rig set up from the guys at ITO flies. They set me up with a flasher and a meat rig to go with it. If it matters this is my normal spread. 2 riggers, 2 wire divers and sometimes 2 planner boards. My thought is to run 1 on the rigger with the fishhawk and one on a diver. This is only my 2nd year trolling so the boat is still a work in progress. score one for the little guy

Nice job. A memory that won't be forgotten anything soon. It's kind of funny how things like that happen. It seems like your best fish come when you aren't even trying to catch them Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Headed to olcott later in the week

Anyone out today? I'll be out tomorrow. Not sure if I'm reading the coastal watch map right or not. It looks like the lake is more stable around Olcott. Correct me if im wrong. Better choice fishing Olcott or the bar ? Thanks Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  17. Ok thanks. I know it's usually around 8' or 9'. Sounds like the water level has helped the fishing up there Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app

    Wire and dipsy diver question

I have always ran braided line for my dipsies. It seems like most of you guys like the wire better. I have been thinking about switching. I will run 2 magnum divers and 2 divers that are the next size down. What does the wire do to the dive chart for them ? I have seen a lot of posts with divers running back 200-250' back. Is there something out there that that shows line out to depth? Or is there a general rule for letting it out ? The other question is color. Is there one that works better ? The one I have are firetigger, char/green, char/Orange. Should I just paint them black ? I also broke down and bought the fish hawk x4. What is your guys advise on where to mount the head unit. Thanks for any help. You guys are awesome. Definitely help my learning curve. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
