  7. Typical program is 4. This time we added a mag on the insides on a 3/4 setting, middle was a 1 3/4 and outside was 3 1/2. Did a bunch of turns and all went smooth. A little tough on deploying but moved a few rods around and made it happen. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. "derby run". Stayed inside hoping for a giant stager. Setup in 100 and about 4 miles east of harbor. Screen was amazing. Finally setup the 6 dipsy 2 rigger program (crazy, but no tangles). Only grabbed a few fish one was 19# and my son's biggest to date. We were hoping for over 20 for my son/ the summer classic. Big guy came on a mag dipsy 135 with a blue chilly Willy. Jplug/ chrome frog took another nice one as well. NADA on FF and spinnys. Dirty white boy and carbon 14 took shots as well. Water under 120 was good. 45° down 80-90 over 110-120. Out past 120 water was junk. 75 down to the bottom and blank screen. North trolled to check things out and close the night, water got better after mid 200's but we were approaching bed time...lol. Weeds.... Ugh. We landed a 40# mess after a loooong reel job. Ended up switching reelers a few times. Had to net it as well. Checked lines a bunch and most came up with some weeds on em. Hopefully that junk clears out once staging is in full effect. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  10. Heck yea! One of the many that my son knows too. Great when a 4yr old can name a dozen spoons in the box. Hands down the fav is a Blue chilly Willy. Thanks to Jeremey Goodison and the infamous "Matt's box" we have a pile of em. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. No reason to judge before the facts come in. Could have been anything. Could have been uncontrollable. Never know. Some guys life deserves a bit more respect than throwing the stupidity card out at him. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  14. I'd be curious to see where the fish actually " roamed ". May have just taken a slow cruise, as that's really not that far in the current with 5 months to get there. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Went out on a friend's vessel. He's a lurker here and scared to post.... ( I know your reading this !!) Very, very quick run out to 300's and setup on a north troll. Ended up running north to 420-430 then coming back on a south west troll. Boated a half dozen or more fish with one around 15-18#. Spoon bite was the best on outside dipsys. Dirty white boy and carbon 14. Meat on the big paddle took the biggest fish and the spinnys did nothing. Graph looked blank till inside 200 but there was good water 60-80 down. Short run as we hit the water and setup around 6pm. He went out the next day and fished the hill from the red can back. Spoons took all the fish. Carbon/dirty white and moonshine's worked. 17. The reality is, it's not your boat, your gear, your investment. Not that I think my way is the right way, but once I was hooked (first fish) on trolling kings, I knew I had to get my own boat. I didn't want to rely on anyone else and I quickly realized the investment. In my eyes I have a great budget trolling setup, and still can pay the mortgage and feed the kids. If you want to run a program from deploying to netting, save your charter money for your own boat. If you want to pay a charter to get you on fish, play by the capt's rules. 25. It will "ratchet" up and hold position. When you get bit, just grab the rod, lift up and pull out. They seem real tough when you test them by hand, but trust me when you get a king on they come up smooth as butter. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
