  1. This spoon prob has 8 layers of paint on it. We had done one similar to this, and used it on a trip with @jeremeygoodison and was hooked up, and lost in about 10 minutes. Long story behind the original spoon, and the box, but sometimes people come into your life for a reason. My son is 6, so maybe he will part with some of the collection later in life but for now, he's pretty attached to every spoon we make.
  2. In and out, fast and slow, east to west and west to east, deep to shallow..... made some memories, but was a very slow, slow day. First king came in 3 minutes before the 4 rod spread was even out, on a custom painted mag spoon my son did. My old man sure had a heck of a time bringing this spunky silver in. I can't wait to see the GoPro footage. Then nada. The fish seem to have spread out and the graph looked bare most of the day. Either way, great day on ladyO.
  3. I disagree. It only took me 1 open water king... Seriously. Was on Craigslist shopping for a boat on the ride home. Dan - amazing vid, but I expect nothing less from you ! Keep up the good work.
  4. I'm definitely NOT arguing against Yamaha, but my Honda's are great.
  5. That girl is my hero! Can't wait to hookup again and watch the goof troop fish...
  6. I know that feeling all too well.... Nothing can be said other than knock another and try again. At least you had a nice show, ish
  7. I find the best and only way to properly "set" my okumas, Coldwater or convector, is to reel against the drag to "free" it up. So when letting out, sometimes loosening the drag doesn't work as it should, so when I reel against the drag or just reel in line, it frees the drag and everything seems to be perfect. Hope that makes sense
  8. I don't have the stones to constantly run divers on my triples, let alone a tree. I like keeping them in the tracks, in cannon tubes. Do you not have room for a track and tubes ?
  9. I would love to watch and see what happens. Definitely need a big board even if using a smaller sized dipsy. Also have to consider how hard it will be to pop the dipsy on a board. I'd stay away from a board. Just run 3 dipsys per side. Mag on .25 inside, normal sized (00?) On 1.5 and outside 00 on 3.
  10. You didn't get it ??? Lol. Actually I wanted to, but I have a new phone and you weren't transfered . Pm heading your way
  11. I saw you launch, I was right behind you. When I had a second to come say hello, you were heading out.
  12. There's was too many boats to keep track of out there !
  13. Dang. Have I missed ladyO !! Epic day. Flat calm, perfect warm weather, and the king's were hungry.... How many times a year does that all happen !!? Dipsy bite was on fire. Stinger spoons and bayrats cleaned up. West of port in 55-65 most fish were 35-45 down. Solid way to start the season. These fish were healthy and full of energy. 20+ fish day with some serious screamers. Just felt great to back after em !
  14. Instead of backing plates, use giant washers. I know you said you can't do backing plates due to access, can you at least get a few bolts through with washers ? Send a pic of your gunnels
  15. Biggest fender washers you can fit should do.
  16. Awesome they are open, but what was with the closure to begin with ?

Sweet rig. GLWS. Btw, that LOU sticker has to be factored in to your price, easily double your money on that investment !
  18. XR 3.5 5's. Versamax with Jellyhead choke. I downed a bird at 63 a few years ago. Up front, it was the last day and the last hour so I took the first chance I had. This a very, very tight patterning setup so I put a vortex 1moa red dot on. I have shot out to 70 with amazing results. For the record, I love killing Tom's inside 30 yards and it's always the "plan". Nice to feel confident though.
