I have used the DR for 5 years with no problems. I fish with a friend that runs both and the DR is the one that you trust. The DR refresh rate is much faster. I have my unit working down to 175 feet.

All good advice. I am ready to make it happen this year. Last year I fished with 6 new friends. A combination of chemistry and availability are hard to find. Thank you so much for your time and information. A note to anyone that reads this I have a fully equiped boat with Garmin panoptic. I need full and partime team members. We will be in Wilson for the Spring LOC derby. 10 days of fishing is a great primer for a team. If you are in need of a substitute I am retired and ready to fish the south shore of Lake Ontario

The lake currents can be different at various deeps when the lake flips. Please share your thoughts on how you adapt to this.

One place is in Wilson with boat slip.

There are places on the Niagara and the Canadian side.

I just reserved a house for the spring loc. There are several property management companies in the Wilson/Olcott area. I found them with a simple Google search. Many places available from 1 to 5 bedroom. Some with slips but not many. Good hunting.

Did you check the Shimano Talora rods to see if they are approved for seven strand wire. If not the wire will cut the guides.

Did you use a slide diver on a planer board? Do you have a picture.

Bag need to run a beam the boats pivot point. If the bag are too forward or aft the boat will be less stable. Good luck
