  1. If anyone is missing or knows someone missing a canoe. I found one half submerged on a rock in Oswego. Still floats no leaks. Would like to see it back to owner. I don’t do social media so this all I could think of. Tell me type color also has serial numbers still. Appears to have been a drift for quite sometime. Thanks
  2. You shouldn’t have to explain your reasoning. For posting a fishing report on a FISHING FORUM…I never think to post reports kinda makes me want to more now. Ive never had social Media either. I take pics for myself..but I don’t hate on people who do...I’m all about helping others catch fish it really feels awesome when someone I help. Is stoked and extremely grateful for sharing infor.I’m not insecure about my abilities. There fish everywhere not just in one or two spots on a giant lake lol
  3. Salmon River last summer had lamprey treatment done by staff from Lake Champlain. Are they not who usually does the treating?
  4. I have a lifetime sportsman as well…I was able to get that transferred onto my driver license all on line
  5. You know of any Splake being in any of those waters? Bucket list fish for me
  6. anyone know a shop in the 315 area or even just in NY…that does rod repair?..I’m trying to avoid sending it to St Croix just for times sake.. I’ve called a few places in Pulaski and none do repair I had a rod guide replaced at a local place here in Cuse…and they put on the complete wrong size and type..after assuring me they had the right one so never again…I prefer to not do it myself on this one..
  7. Nvm I was told it was done at one of the meetings so probably won’t find much online so I’m told
  8. I’ve heard from a few people. That stocking domestics and Skams was over. But I can’t find anything online about it..any have a link? Really would like to read about it if possible
  9. I highly recommend Cold Steel. Captains Tom and Andy never disappoint. I fish with Andy several times every winter. Well being going with them on the 17th. Either way Oswego has a lot of awesome guides
  10. Wow yea that’s bad...
  11. Very nice! As for the charter I guess it depends on how bad of a sin he committed??? Lol. But seriously I’m not sure that’s a tough one potentially. I wasn’t there but don’t know if...one incident warrants potentially tarnishing his name ya know...that’s your call..The guide I’d used is a awesome dude really professional and laid back. You didn’t launch from Godfrey did ya? Lol
  12. 5/30 landed 4 eyes lost 2 kept biggest one that choked the blade 20’. Rest released..all caught in 15-20 FOW on baby perch color blade bait. 6/1 landed 6 keeper eyes biggest 22’...2 shorts...3 nice big perch...hooked something that had no problem towing me around in the yak for about 20 min as the sun. Went down never got a great look at it...guessing a big fouled carp?...all but one fish caught in 15-20 FOW...one eye caught in 9 FOW...all on baby perch blade bait that eventually turned gold when the tape wore off. Im really enjoying catching these smaller Oneida eyes on my new medium light rod. I’m glad I decided to go lighter when I upgraded. Tight lines! I know I’m not the best at filets don’t keep fish very much at all lol
  13. Very cool video glad I found this thanks
  14. Finally first time this spring I got into more than one or two eyes at night shore Casting Otisco. Including my biggest one this year 29’3/4 so close to 30!.. Full moon..the alewives were in full force..blow ups everywhere...felt great why I love Otisco at night in the spring. Went 4/5 On sliver blade bait and 1 on Keitech Swing Impact. Saw quite a few other guys out. Be cool to see how other people have been doing. I didn’t notice any other hook ups. Top fish is the 29’
  15. A great guide on Oneida I’ve used many times is Full Tank Charters with Mike Tankersly...I prefer to jig as well and he’s all for it..slammed em on jiggin raps last summer...he’s a great dude very fairly priced...we’ve always launched from Godfrey Point
  16. Same here HB when I’m alone. But when not I do pick em up..gonna stop doing that now with any Salmonids
  17. Thanks for sharing your opinions. I always handle fish a little as possible. Fish alone a lot so very seldom get pics but when I do I put a glove on my tail hand. Now I’m wondering if that’s better or worse for slime removal. Regardless if losing fish is good for stocking. I like to release fish because of the feeling I get watching them swim away. Hopefully to live on and grow. Was an eye opener for me. On the west coast I see a lot of guys use those cradle nets like ppl use for Muskie. Really considering getting one if. They are that much better for the fish
  18. I came across this big steelhead on the SR today. At first she appeared dead picked her up took a pic and measured her 32 inches!..it then started to flop put her back in water and she took off. After laying motionless in inches of water. Anyone else ever see a steelhead like this? Or have any thoughts what may of happened??..I was wondering if maybe it’s from improper handling after being caught?..either way it’s a shame was a really big fish
  19. I’ve been itching to get my new kayak out..any recommendations on A warm dry suit?..that’s only thing stopping me just in case ya know
