Took a solo trip Monday out of the Oak while it was calm enough for my 16’ tiller.   A bunch of boats headed West towards Johnson Creek at dawn so I headed East to be away by myself.  Started with stick baits, then bright colored Stingers in the colored 42 degree water….nothing.  Stayed headed east and hit 47 degree water near Lake Shore Dr.  changed up to stingers with some black and they started hitting for about 2 hours.  Fat Nancy and Black Lemon Ice were hot.   Ended up with 6 browns and an Atlantic in 10’ or less of water.  Planers and shotgun  in prop wash all caught fish.   Headed out to 100’ and dropped Lake Trout Killer cowbells and gambler rigs with green/chart spin n goo’s and dredged up 2 nice lakers before I had to head back.   Only saw one other boat East and saw them doing well.  Nothing huge but a great day.

Thanks,  I only kept one brown.   If I can, I dont net or boat them unless I need to.  When the water is nice and cold I shake them off in the water.
