Will a Fish Hawk Lithium Pro Probe work with an X4D fish hawk? I know the Lithium Ultra is the one that sends depth, but curious if the Lithium Pro will still work with the X4D, but it just won't show the depth.

We've been using ours for a year with zero issues. Great product, great support.

Worth the upgrade? or just as good to wait till an existing probe has an issue.  Im sure its better.  Just wondering if its sit down a good probe better.  I already have an x4d in backup with a dead temp sensor so i may be an outlier in backup status haha.

I had two X4D units die on me inexplicably within a year. Both were replaced without issue by Fishhawk, but when the second one went, I told them that I wanted to order a lithium as well. They threw me a discount on it, and now I have a lithium for daily use and "normal" X4D backup, unused.

That having  been said, I wouldn't have updated had the original not gone bad, and IMHO it's not a game changer, just a better mousetrap. I like the fact that there's no chance of water incursion or the battery holder coming loose, and it's a smaller profile. But it does all the same stuff. And much as I like it, its longevity has yet to be proven. Ask me in ten years lol.

If you have a unit that's lacking temp, you might want to talk to Fishhawk and see if they'll swing you a discount to upgrade.
