SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

====================

Finally got the boat in the water. Set up in front of the red barn and ended up as far west as Wilson. Started out real slow in the morning, lots of bait and hooks, but no takers (it is June after all) mid morning we started getting some bites. only 1 bite on the riggers, mostly a diver bite for us today, ended up 5/9, landing 4 steelhead and 1 coho

All spoons, green mostly, NBK in both standard stinger and DW super slim took the most bites. 1 bite on a laser spook on a 5 color core.

bites came in 70-150 fow on a N-S Troll. Tons of bait and hooks in 40-60 fow but couldn't move any of them.

Lots of big red bait mountains in there, some were so dense that the new Raymarine fishfinder started registering the top of the bait cloud as bottom (may have to play with the gain settings :) )

All in all, fairly satisfied with the results of a June shaketown and 1st trip of 2009.

Tim, we fished just east of the plant for the pro am and it was the same picture in that depth a lot of bait and hooks, but it was tough to get them to hit. had a screamer on late morning in 70 fow of water off spin doctor/ fly so it appears they may be kings. We did land a nice atlantic around 8 lbs and nice 10 lb steelie in that depth.

We also traveled from the Oak to the smoke stacks. We stayed inside 150' with a NW - SE troll from Stacks to Microwave with all green. We ran dipsys back 125 1nd 150, 5 color and 10 color LC and copper 300 straight out the gut. Riggers where at 45, 50 and 60. As the sun rose we changed to yellow and orange. All in all we went 11 of 17 and tossed 3 smallies back. We ended with 6 Bows (2 in 10lb range)and 2 Ho's. Screen full of bait we even hooked a couple of 6" Alwifes.

Shade, what was the name of your boat? we were in the same area both days, went 9 for 12 for the weekend with are box mostly being steelhead, 1 8 lb king, a 8 lb atlantic and a laker, just could not get those fish down by the bait to fire, our leadcores and cheaters took most of the fish. We had a decent 1st day out there but yesterday we struggled with only 3 fish

Salmon Bound.... we boated most of our fish on disy's 125 out and both corner riggers 50' and 45' down. One on 5 color LC..nothing on middle rigger and nothing on copper. Everything came on spoons. we maintained 2.4 at the ball and a NE..SW troll and we stayed inside 120' to 65'.

I saw you guys.... you were a little deeper then us when I saw you.
