Fished Fairhaven 4:30 AM - 4:30 PM. We were 2 for 6, lost 3 big Kings and one 12-15 lbs Brown. Started in 100-150 and had a 13 lbs King in the box by 6:30 on a Stinger glo green Alewife 100/150 rigger. Later on that same spoon took a shot. After morning bite switched to 40-100 for Browns. Had a 12 lbs Brown hit and it tore up our spread before shaking off. Picked up a nice 20 lbs Coho on a deep run out to 450 and back down 100/225 on a chrome dipsey 2 setting out 200 and chrome prism paddle and pickled sunshine fly. Lost a few more fish, then, had a massive Rigger hit with a Blackeyed Peas paddle and mag Blackeyed Peas spoon. That salmon hit so hard it snapped my pole in half leaving me with a handle and reel to battle the fish. The fight didn't last long. He one. I'm gonna need a bigger boat! I mean, how big does a salmon have to be to snap your rod in half at the handle?
