Canvas replacement and repair.

A few months ago I decided to completely redo the canvas and frame on my Starcraft Islander. After some looking around I visited a canvas maker in Webster,NY, but the reception was less than welcoming and it seemed that the owner really did not want my business. So I continued my search for a canvas maker. Silver Fox and Tom from Eastfork Marina both from Sandy Creek mentioned a newcomer in town by the name of Reese. They told me that she had returned from Florida where she had for years been a canvas repair, upholsterer and sail maker. I decided to give her a try. She directed me to a frame maker who works out of Youngstown,NY  , who made me a new stainless steel frame for less than a third of the price that the Webster guy had offered,partly because I drove to his place instead of having to come out to Sandy Creek. He made the frame on the spot , while I waited. I drove back home with a new frame and a very satisfied feeling. Then she made me all new canvas. So now my 1989 Islander looks real nice again.
