My 2004 Yamaha 9.9 kicker started when I put it away in the fall, but when I took it out of my garage last week I could not get it to start with the key on the remote control.  No click no electric choke click nothing.  I made sure the control was in neutral, battery has 12.67 volts, jumped starter and it does function.  Check engine fuse that is good, the only thing I can think off would be the neutral safety switch.   Does anyone know how to jump or bypass the switch so I can test that before paying a mechanic to diagnose and charge me and arm and a leg for something that may be simple?  Thanks in advance!

Just a thought. Something easy to overlook. Check the kill switch to be sure that it is in run position. Been there-done that:wondering:
