has anyone heard of pulling the outdrive off for winter storage to check impeller and seals?a friend tells me he does this to his striper. just wondering if he is ****ing me.

He is correct to ck bellows for leakage, ck engine alignment, grease u-joints & lubricate input shaft splines. Also to ck upper yoke seal for leakage on the drive itself. A little PM saves alot of $'s in the long run.
