Blower On?

On the dash of my boat, there's a sticker that say to keep the blower on when running below cruising speed. I keep my running for about 4 min. when I first start the boat, but I don't when I'm trolling. How many of you do? Am I pushing my luck?

Hey Musky, before you turn on the blower open the motor cover and see if you smell gas if you do find out why.If you don't do that you've been doing or you can turn the blower on for five minutes every half hour or so. Have you fished the new boat yet?

Yes, I've been out on it without the riggers, just dipsys and haven't gotten the skunk out of it yet. I just got the riggers mounted on the board my buddy made me so hopefully I'll be able to throw the skunk overboard, along with a banana. Thanks for the tip on the blower. No gas smell at all.
