Scents

I searched the archives for info on using scents, cover or attractants and came up empty (or should I say oderless).

Not sure If I should be using scents or how. I've been using Smelly Jelly (blue) on my tackle. I learned the importance of using cover scents in the Pacific drainages for river steelies and salmon but I'm not sure about trolling for LO salmanoids.

Would appreciate some info on yes or no, and if yes, what scents and how to use.

I put it on every lure- everytime one goes out. I also put it on my flashers- but not on the flies. It can be heavy and has alot of oils that will mess up the flies action in the water.
