The new system is up and running. Just say " Mayday, Mayday, Mayday" on your VHF radio and the computer wil put a red dot on a screen with your location. If you have a DSC radio connected to your GPS, they can automatically find you and give your coordinates out quicker for better response times. Do not push the emergency button unless it is an emergency. They are monitoring Channel 16 and other channels also, so be careful on your radio usage as to necessary needs.
