Walleye board options

Recommended Posts

Im thinking about using a walleye board to get another line in the water. I do not have a planer mast so this probably the best option for me now. Other than lead core what can I use behind board? Will a walleye board pull a dipsey or is it to much drag? A size 0 maybe set straight back? The other option would be to snap a weight on far in front of a spoon but I'm not sure if a snap weight will get the spoon deep enough on 20 lb mono. Any thoughts? Thanks for the advice.

I've heard of using a jet diver behind a board, though it won't run as far to the side with that drag on it as normal, even a small dipsy pulls harder than that though and probably wouldn't track to the side well at all.
