Need a sub troll unit.

Hi guys. I will be purchasing a speed and temp unit this summer and wanted to get everyone's opinion on which model they use. Seems alot of guys use a Fishhawk or Depthraider, so I'd like the know the good and the bad of the different models. I am leaning towards a Moor sub troll because of the price, but I'm not sure. Thanks for any advice, Jeremy.

theres a ton of posts on this subject if you find the time to scroll through them. seems to be alot of fishhawks in use but in my opinion new sales seem to be between subtroll and depth raider. personally i own a subtroll and have been very pleased with it.

Jerry, subtroll and depth raider as basically the same unit, it all depends on if you prefer a digital display or analog. Both work great. i retired a fish hawk when I got my Depth Raider and don't miss it at all, IMO, both the ST and the DR are vastly superior to the FH.

ps, I understand Fish Hawk is completely redoing the 840, so maybe the new ones will be better.

don't get the FH,...the digital read out jumps around too much.
