Remote oil change filter holder

Ok, want to put a oil filter with a remote change unit in my Penn Yan.  It has a 305 V8 by Mercruiser.  Anybody know which one to get or are they all the same?  I just want it more convenient for me to change the oil instead of taking the floor out every time and reaching down behind the block to get to it.  Total pain in the ass.  Boat is pulled at the moment for a bit of work anyways and figure killl to birds with one stone.  thanks

I have installed several of these through the years and they are not all the same.  Many of the cheaper ones use cheap castings for holding the filter and thy don't always mate well with the filter.  Cheap ones will sometimes use clamps on the hoses.  Marine grade units typically have crimped high pressure hoses and a machined filter holder.  You cant walk home if the hose lets loose out on the water.  Regardless of which type you buy, be aware it may use a different filter than you currently have on the engine.

Yep gonna use a billet milled heavy duty filter unit.  Just don't which one to get?  thanks

this is what i have on my 1994 305 merc for past 3 years.  makes changing oil real easy!  had it added when motor came out for stringer repair!
